4 Swerves That Could Happen at Survivor Series

Survivor Series 2016 comes this Sunday and it looks amazing! For the first time in a long while, the war between the Blue Brand and the Red Brand actually matters.  Here are 4 swerves that could truly change the show!

Baron Corbin Screws Kalisto

Everybody seems to want Kalisto to defeat Brian Kendrick and bring the Cruiserweight Division to SmackDown. Being on RAW slowly but surely destroys the future of the division. The Cruiserweights would benefit greatly from SmackDown’s supportive and attentive booking. Just imagine the opportunities when characters get to be developed by the Blue Brand Creative!

Yet, this heavenly scenario might get brutally snatched out of our fingers by the Lone Wolf. Baron Corbin was meant to be at Survivor Series. It was supposed to be his big moment to shine. Instead, he got sidelined by Kalisto. The Lone Wolf couldn’t care less what’s good for the brand. He cares only about himself and in this scenario what he wants is revenge.

Don’t be too surprised if Corbin shows up at Survivor Series, attacks Kalisto backstage and serves him on a silver platter to Kendrick to pick up the pieces!

James Ellsworth Turns More Than a Mascot

Who doesn’t love James Ellsworth – SmackDown’s favourite resident weirdo? Who doesn’t want to see the sweet No Chin Music strike again? It could all come true.

James Ellsworth might be one of the last men standing at Survivor Series. Although he’s not part of team, he’s the Team SmackDown mascot. Now, this role does not entail physical involvement, but we might as well see some.

Could Ellsworth be the missing piece to drive Team Blue to victory? Imagine as Team RAW’s last survivor poises to take Dean Ambrose out, Ellsworth, cheered by the fans, hits No Chin music and allows for the Lunatic Fringe to seize the moment, throw in the Dirty Deeds and win the whole thing!

One can dream, right?

Triple H Screws SmackDown

As good as dreaming might be, a screwy finish, favouring the bad guys is much more likely in wrestling. Survivor Series is a show where the worth of the two brands is tested. Triple H might just have to get involved to save his own.

Raw has always been the uncontested #1 show. However, after the brand split SmackDown took a life of its own. Now the fans clearly prefer SmackDown. The show is better booked with better character development. It’s lighter to watch and it’s simply more entertaining.

Raw cannot afford to lose to SmackDown. With Shane, physically in the match, he’s just begging for a RAW authority figure to join in the brawl too. Triple H has been away for a while and this is exactly the kind of crucial moment for him to show up and tip things in favour of his own show.

SmackDown Gets a Clean Sweep

This is the most implausible scenario out of all but just for the sake of fan fiction I’ll entertain the possibility of it coming true.

As I already mentioned, SmackDown is the better show. It has been pushed down and stepped on by RAW since forever. Survivor Series might be the time to demonstrate that the tides have turned and it’s time for a change.

RAW is terribly disjointed. It has talent but the writing around it is terrible. There would be no bigger wake-up call for the Red Brand than to have them lose every single match on the card. Let SmackDown take all the victories, exactly as it deserves and then just watch the chaos on RAW.

Stephanie would go mental. She’d fire people and she’d “make some drastic changes”. She might even mobilise her soldiers and have them invade SmackDown with the sole goal of pure destruction. This could be one insanely entertaining storyline.
