AJ Lee Being Dropped As GM, Beth Phoenix’s Last Day, New Details On WWE/AJPW Talent Exchange
- It is being reported that the WWE is thinking about dropping AJ Lee from her current General Manager role of Raw. AJ has not worked out as well as the WWE creative expected, despite her successful role during her angle with CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Kane.
As of now, the names being suggested to take AJ’s place are Vicki Guerrero and Ric Flair.
- Beth Phoenix’s last scheduled appearance for the WWE is on October 22nd when Raw airs from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. After giving the WWE her notice that she is leaving, Phoenix is expected to be out of the company and retired from wrestling all together by the end of October.
- Earlier this week it was announced the WWE and AJPW, struck a deal that many believed to have the Japanese promotion become a developmental territory for the WWE. However, new details suggest it is a talent exchange agreement.
It is believed that the talent exchange is in preparation for the WWE’s rumored upcoming Cruiserweight show, which would see a heavy influx from Japan, Mexico and the American independent scene.
There are also rumors of the Big Show making appearances in AJPW in exchange for The Great Muta appearing on WWE television. Nothing is confirmed yet.
