AJ Lee Talks About Breaking Into Wrestling, Wanting To Entertain People & More

WWE RAW General Manager AJ Lee recently spoke to Wisoncin’s JSOnline.com to hype Monday’s RAW from the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee.

The article looks at AJ’s meteoric rise to fame and how she wasn’t even on the WWE roster two years ago and now she’s in charge of Monday Night RAW. An interesting note is that AJ might not have ever gotten into wrestling if she hadn’t run into financial problems while attending New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in New York City.

“I ran into financial problems and couldn’t afford (school) anymore, so I dropped out. I’ve always wanted to entertain people, and when I was in school I was interested in creative writing, but wrestling was always there,” she said. “When I ran into financial problems I just figured when life gives you lemons, you have to make lemonade.”

AJ took all her savings, signed up for wrestling school and the rest is history.
