Backstage Live Impact News, New TNA Set (Photo), TNA In Texas

– TNA’s first live Impact of the summer last week was described as a major confidence boost to everyone. Some things were different from the usual Impact shows as Keith Mitchell, who runs the truck as producer, was not there and won’t be there this week because he already had a vacation planned. Spike TV’s Scott Fishman worked in his place and he had never produced wrestling before, although he’s worked as Spike’s liaison with TNA’s product for years.

The decision to go live was just made a few weeks ago and came as a surprise to almost everyone in the company so nobody was ready for it. A large percent of the regular production crew had other commitments scheduled that they couldn’t get out of. TNA ended up using a lot of newcomers in their places. They also used a different production truck which was apparently a big deal.

– It appears TNA will be using a new backstage set at tonight’s Impact. Jeremy Borash tweeted the photo below and said tune into Impact to find out what the set will be used for. This may be used for the live segments that TNA will be doing during commercial breaks to stream online.

– TNA will be running a live event in Belton, Texas next Thursday night as Impact airs live on Spike TV. The following matches have been announced so these wrestlers won’t be appearing on TV next week: Gunner vs. Garett Bischoff, Kid Kash vs. Chris Sabin, Douglas Williams vs. Rob Terry, Crimson vs. Matt Morgan plus Knockouts action with Tara, Mickie James and Velvet Sky vs. Angelina Love, Winter, Sarita and Rosita. Robbie E. is also being advertised.
