Backstage News On Shawn Michaels Possibly Coming Out Of Retirement For WrestleMania XXX

shawn-michaelsb

Regarding Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement for one more match, it’s said the ball is in his court. WWE wants him to return for a singles match at WrestleMania XXX.

There is no talk of doing HBK vs. CM Punk and no talk of a potential tag match with HBK and Triple H vs. Punk and Daniel Bryan. If Shawn agrees to come out of retirement, WWE wants it to be for only one match and that match would be against Bryan. The segment with HBK and Punk on Monday’s RAW was done so they could save the Punk-HHH confrontation.

Whether or not Shawn decides to return to the ring, expect to see a lot more of him on WWE TV going into WrestleMania XXX.

I understand the HBK v.s Bryan storyline. But the money and real entertainment would be in HBK vs CM Punk

He’s involved too much now. I mean it’s definitely going to come to something. He screws Bryan, takes a knee from him and now is involved with Punk. Something is going to happen.

I hope not. If you lose a retirement match, that should be it. No more matches.

I agree with your statement. Lose your retirement match, that should be it because it cheapens the quality and importance of the match. It has been a few years since his last match, unlike Flair who went back to wrestling for a different company after his retirement match, that I think this one match or pay off match is justifiable and doesn’t hurt his legacy or damage the importance of the Taker match.

But only if it’s a one and done deal. If he comes back in a regular role, I think that would damage the legacy.

You said the exact reason why I hope it doesn’t happen. Cheapens the importance of retirement matches. Plus I’m really hoping WM is Bryan’s crowning moment.

It seems to me shawn had to see this coming, otherwise why did he agree to come back to TV? he had to see the writing on the wall, and for him now to say, ‘oh, no thanks.’ …then what was the point, shawn? if it turns out it was money… all u ended up doing (especially this close to WM) was teasing the fans. any reasonably smart fans mind is going to start imagining shawn vs, (insert name) at WM30.
to me, if im WWE management, he has preform at WM or someone should lose their job. u cant tease this, then come up lame. that’s not exactly the best writing or planning to write this guy in the show, then just have him disappear when the big show takes place.
a ref, screw job, or appearance wont do anymore. the fans know stars will pop up for the big shows. theres no surprise element to that anymore. shawn either has to lace up his boots or disappear from TV until after WM.
and if the whole point was to get shawn on TV, rile up the fans to entice shawn to fight “one more match” , well, that’s a gamble they (WWE) need to deliver on or either shawn should have been smart enough to see it coming.

I want to see Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H at Wrestlemania 30!

HBK can come back as often as he wants until his body won’t do it anymore. My opinion. I think a match vs Punk or Bryan would be terrific and definitely worth my money.

    Nope. NO. HELL NO! Boooooo!!!!!

Look, my favorite wrestler of all time is HBK. I think he gets a bad name for shit that doesn’t/ shouldn’t matter to ppl watching for entertainment purposes. I defend this guy time after time and I believe he is the best thing to happen to WWE (I understand if you say Stone Cold or Rock as well).

However, NOOOO! Please don’t do this. First, I want Punk or Bryan vs HHH or Bryan vs WWE World Champ. I really don’t need to see HBK vs a current superstar. It would be pointless. Either it would bury the current guy or be a predictable loss for HBK. No matter how good the match is, I can’t see it being beneficial for anybody in the long run.

However, the only person I would like to see HBK come out of retirement for is The Rock. Just because I have never seen it. But it would still not be all that great.
