Backstage News On The 2014 WWE Hall of Fame, Will There Be A Big Mid-South Influence?
- Despite WrestleMania XXX and the 2014 Hall of Fame ceremony taking place in New Orleans, there is no plan to have a big Mid-South Wrestling influence at the Hall this year. The idea is to go with the theme of 30 years of WrestleMania.
It’s interesting that before WWE announced The Ultimate Warrior for this year’s class, he was not one of the most recent names being floated around the company. There is also no talk of Randy Savage going in this year but it looks like Paul Bearer will be inducted.
The WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony online pre-sale still sold very well despite some technical issues that fans experienced trying to purchase tickets. Tickets are now on sale to the general public and the event is expected to sell out.
As PWMania.com reported, WWE also plans to induct the WrestleMania I main event itself with Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Paul Orndorff and possibly Mr. T involved.
– The first son of Stu Hart and the oldest brother of Bret and Owen Hart, Smith Hart has published a new column at PWMania.com. Hart looks at the possible candidates for the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame. Hart discusses Owen Hart not being able to be inducted due to his sister-in-law being at odds with WWE, but reveals the obvious loophole on how Owen could still be inducted. Hart also talks on the Ultimate Warrior being inducted and more. You can read Smith Hart’s column, “The Hart Grapevine” in its entirety at this link.
