- We noted before that The Rock vs. John Cena II is a strong possibility for WrestleMania 29 next year. Word is that Vince McMahon is the main one who wants the rematch to take place.

- Antonio Cesaro vs. Santino Marella for the United States Title was originally considered for the SummerSlam main card but was moved to the pre-show to help bring viewers to the YouTube channel. WWE is looking to build Cesaro up longterm.

- Other celebrities in attendance for SummerSlam were LA Angels pitcher CJ Wilson and actor Eric Stonestreet.
