Backstage News On Who Is Against WWE Signing Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards & Why

daveyrichards-eddieedwards

There has been no deal offered to Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards but signing them is an ongoing discussion within WWE. People within the company are pushing for them to be signed or at least be given a more in-depth look in NXT.

Other people, mainly Triple H, is against signing them because he and others feel that WWE has signed enough indy style guys. The feeling is that they have met their quota when it comes to that kind of wrestler so they need to start looking for more larger than life characters so WWE doesn’t end up with such a one-dimensional roster.

YOU DONT NEED STORY LINES,WHEN U HAVE A GOOD WRESTLING PROGRAM. BESIDES THATS WHY WE WATCH IS FOR WRESTLING

    • NokomisMitchell

Aaaaannnndddd that’s why TNA is in such good shape.

      • The Knight of Truth

TNA doesnt show good wrestling anymore, ever since Aces and 8 TNA is too focused in storylines and thats why it is on its state. The X Divison is dead, guys like Jay Lethal and Amazing Red is long gone. Kurt Angle is half the man he used to be. And most importantly Sting is too old to wrestle (this will earn me a lot of dislikes, but I dont cate cause this is a fact, look at Undertaker vs Punk WM 29 and compare it with Sting vs Bully Ray Slammiversary 2013 and you will see the difference). People complain WWE doesnt push younger talents. What about TNA, you may argue Chris Saben and Austin Aries but they have been assosiated with TNA long before and are veterans for that promotion. Guys like Robbie E on the other hand? Nope, stuck as a lower card. But NJPW on the other had is in awesome shape cause in truly focuses on Wrestling, and at the end of the day thats what really matters. NJPW and ROH are better than WWE, but TNA is shi@t compared to WWE……

          Couple of quick questions FP:
Which company makes the most money?
          How old are these companies?
Which countries are these companies located in?
When can I watch RoH or NJPW on a network or cable broadcast?

WWE sucks. Danielson is this decade’s Benoit. Punk is this decade’s Chris Jericho. Undertaker puts on better matches, because he wrestlers maybe a three times a year. Meanwhile Sting wrestles at least twice a month. Wrestling across the board is on the decline, period. WWE’s numbers are declining. TNA’s are hovering in the same area. What are RoH’s numbers… Bill Nye The Science Guy does better numbers than them.

Within 10 years WCW, ECW and WWWF capitalized the market, something TNA failed to do. Undertaker only quit full time in 2010, and until then did like 50 matches per year while Sting 15. Undertaker took a lot more bump in his career, and the reason he does not wrestle full time is because he knows he can still do around 20 matches a year if he perdorms the way Sting currently does. But he wants his matches to be amongst the best, and so chose not to do random ridiculos matches in his career anymore. WWE isnt declining, Women and Children viewership is increasing and they out number the IWC marks. And when WWE was TV 14, they were more brutal than TNA has ever been in its 11 years. Watched Edge vs Foley WM 22? Compare it to some of the most brutal matches in TNA and you get shit. And thats only one of WWEs most brutal matches out of many most of which involves Foley. How many TNA matches today involves barbed wires or thumbtacks? How many TNA matches involves being thrown (not diving) from the top of a cage? How mant TNA matches involve being speared into a flaming table. WWE doesnt involve any of those any more, but when it was TV 14 it did. TNA may be TV 14 but it uses this more for the purpose of back stage segments rather than using it for their matches. But not even their backstage segments. WWE shows atleast 5 matches/ SmackDown while TNA produces a maximum 3 per Impact, the rest = talking (which WWE does but not to the extent of TNA)…..

          • The Knight of Truth

This is actually my comment, I deleted it but it still got posted!? My real comment is the longer version of this one….

          • Captain N

Ummm plenty of matches in TNA history have had Thumbtacks and barbwire…watch all the beginning years of Abyss alone to see that. Top of the cage …hmmmm Elix skipper walking across the top..Kurt Angle and Hardy doing flips from the top.WWE is declining as many fans I know that used to watch it religiously are starting to give up on them. TNA cant grow because they don’t have someone like Ted Turner who throws money at talent. Spike is very selective who they are willing to help pay for…and Panda Energy really does not go all in to get involved in a bidding war. That’s TNA’s real problem…they cant get the proper finances to outbid WWE plus the fact they never frikin advertise. But when it comes to wrestling ,TNA is far superior. The real problem is to many WWE fan-boys refuse to make the switch, and stay loyal even though its crap. Back in the day, if things got crappy you switched shows. People wont even give TNA a chance. Its actually hurting the industry because people wont swap and watch the competition to force better things to happen! Unless all the WWE marks finally concede and are willing to try an alternative, the industry will continue to decline sadly !

          • The Knight of Truth

Sorry but TNA matches are shit, and they do not utilize their TV 14 ststus as much as WWE and thats why TNA sucked, sucks and will always suck. TNA only used barbed wire bats wire bats while Mick Foley was around, and a look at Bully Ray vs Jeff Hardy Full Metal Mayhem match would tell you what crap TNA’s biggest match are. Compare it with HHH vs Foley Street Fight match from Royal Rumbles 2000 a match you werent even old enough to see…. Even the PG 3 Stages of Hell match between John Cena and Rayback was far better than Hardy vs Bully Ray…….

Adult fan may be declining in WWE but women and children fans are increasing, and that give WWE enough money in 1 year to go on 50 years….

          • The Knight of Truth

In less then 10 years WCW, ECW and WWWF capitalized the market, something TNA failed to do. Undertaker only quit full time in 2010, and until then did like 50 matches per year (in earlier days he did a lot more, but so did Sting I am talking after they passed 40) while Sting 15. Undertaker took a lot more bump in his career, and the reason he does not wrestle full time is because he knows he can still do around 20 matches a year if he performs the way Sting currently does. But he wants his matches to be amongst the best, and so chose not to do random ridiculous matches in his career anymore (Sting’s last good match was the one with AJ Styles in BFG 2009). Undertaker started wrestling in 1984 with WCW while Sting in 1989. How many TNA matches involve being speared into a flaming table? Abyss’s monsters ball matches are the same old crap. WWE doesnt involve any of those any more, but when it was TV 14 it did. TNA may be TV 14 but it uses thiis more for the purpose of back stage segments rather than using it for their matches (which are not nearly as brutal as the Attitude Era and original ECW matches). But not even their backstage segments compares to the once from WWE in the early 2000s. WWE shows at least 5 matches/ SmackDown while TNA produces a maximum 3 per Impact, the rest = talking (which WWE does but not to the extent of TNA and short WWE shows like NXT are almost all about matches)…..

And Punk and Jericho have totally different wrestling styles and characters, and only a kid who watch WWE from, like 2009 by when Jericho lost most of his wrestling skills would compare them. Jericho is going for 3 decades between WCW, ECW, and WWE and had matches Punk or AJ Styles could only dream of having. Watch the 2002 Elimination Chambers match or the Jericho vs Michaels WM 19 to see the real Chris Jericho perform. Even today he can have great matches, while young guys like Wes Brisco from TNA are shits!!!! I am not saying Punk is a bad wrestler, but they are not the same type and are not comparable like Bryan and Benoit are……..

typical triple h, im not shocked at this at all, he has the chance to sign 2 awesome wrestlers but yet he thinks they got enough “INDY STYLE” wrestlers, UH WHATS WRONG WITH INDY WRESTLERS? they are sure are HELL of lot better then the ones your dumbass company is producing, Man I cant stand hhh, never liked him, never will

    • mike

He wants a mixture of talents on his roster, whats the matter with that?

  • saulewright

Let me fix what he said “We have enough small, quick guys, I want monsters.” He and VKM can be size queens sometimes.

  • Jay Jay Aces

Like Khali, Matt Morgan, and Nathan Jones went over so well…Vince and his bitch Hunter are such idiots…
