Backstage News On Why Brie Bella Isn’t Being Blamed For Last Week’s WWE Raw Viewership

As PWMania.com reported, the third hour of last Monday’s WWE RAW drew just 4.051 after falling from 4.511 million viewers in the second hour. The final segment of that show featured Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon building to their SummerSlam match.

On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, a fan asked if any blame was being put on Brie for the low number in the final hour. We don’t have the RAW quarter-hour ratings yet but it’s very possible that the final segment caused the big drop. It was said that likely no blame is being put on Brie because it’s Stephanie’s angle and that would mean blaming Stephanie also, which isn’t going to happen.

    Lmao

  • Monkey D. Luffy

The show had barely any wrestling especially for a 3 hour format

Uh, then who can you blame? Steph may be the dominant part of the segment, but she’s the heel. Isn’t the face supposed to draw the numbers against her. I’m not 100% blaming it on Brie either because I think last segment should always be a match, but I think this angle would be much better if they built it with AJ.

Apart from Ambrose vs Rollins, there’s nothing to watch at the moment on WWE. And they know that which is why they held the match back until Summerslam, cheating people out of PPV money again.

Paige/AJ yawn. It’s like watching a bad pantomime.
They messed up Cesaro who could put on a clinic every week
Reigns can’t carry a match yet but they have begun the shoving down our throat of him with his 15 spears a match and ‘awoooooooo’ cry.
Ziggler/Miz/Ryback and the rest of the mid card are a sorry excuse for a mid card when they have no real rivalries to interest me.
Rusev was hot for 3 weeks and they cooled that down pretty quickly.
Only Cena could make a match with Lesnar seem boring.
Wyatt… stuck in Jericho land when he could have had a hot hot feud with Reigns below the main event and above the mid card.
Brie and Steph… i have no interest in watching a Bella ‘wrestle’ or Stephanie ‘wrestle’.
Is RVD still here or has he left again?
Bo Dallas was fun but they let R Truth beat him for some reason (they should have given Bo a submission finisher where he tells his opponent ‘don’t give up, don’t give up, you can do this’ but that would mean creative being creative and writing doing some writing).
What’s Sheamus doing at the moment? A title holder with no feud. Vintage WWE.
Everytime Adam Rose opens his mouth I think he’s swallowed a dick.
Sandow has weirdly become the most entertaining character on tv despite losing every week. Finally a wrestler who can perform.

      Sheamus had the flu

Yes, and RVD out with minor injury, ought to be back soon.

And Dallas is more interesting in defeat.

Jericho is practically the first one where wyatt get some heat for acting like a heel. There’s something being done right. He wouldn’t get that kind of heat from assaulting Reigns.

I don’t know why the segment was awesome.
