Backstage Talk On Triple H’s Opinion Of Internet Fans, Graphic Photo Of Jake Roberts’ Knee

triple-h-8

- Regarding Triple H’s sarcastic promo on Monday’s RAW about venting on social media and threatening to stop watching with his friend “Mark,” apparently that was him making fun of fans who weren’t happy with the Battleground pay-per-view. It’s said within WWE it’s pretty well known that even though Triple H has to embrace social media for business reasons, he hates fans on social media who comment about the product and hates fans who act like they understand wrestling when they don’t have a clue.

– We noted before that WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts is now cancer free. He tweeted the following updates yesterday:

That is nasty as hell – Jake’s knee looks bad too.

  • Wrestling_fan

Love how HHH keeps taking digs at the “marks”. Btw, I don’t think this news is totally true because if it was, then WWE won’t be asking us to “hashtag this, hashtag that” as much they do. Heck! Sometimes “rivalries” happen on twitter instead of the ring. Strangely, even Bray Wyatt has a twitter account. :/
Good or bad, having an opinion is what matters (best for business).

  • Yoyo

How annoying is it how people in WWE think they’re the only ones that know Wrestling?

    • Yoyo

In fact, do they even know it their selves? After all, they don’t even know how a heel is supposed to act…

      • wwefan

they are an entertainment company. Their global market says they are doing something right and heels dont act like heels anymore cause the fans dont react right anymore.

        • Yoyo

the ‘…’ was suppose to suggest I was being sarcastic.. still don’t like the fact no heels are used but I understand why!

      • James Tebrucio Luna

Are you Serious? WWE is focused on the Entertainment side of Professional Wrestling… also no one said they think they are the only ones that know hell I know a decent amount about wrestling it’s my career choice it’s the fans and IWC marks that have not been in a ring and taken a bump put on a promo interact with the fans put together a match card promote house shows let alone even seriously try that know nothing about wrestling other than what they watch.

        • thesmarktank

Well, guys, apparently only Trips and James here know anything about wrestling. Guess the rest of us should just sit down, be quiet, and know our place.

          • James Tebrucio Luna

lol where did I say HHH and I are the only ones that know anything about wrestling? are you that fucking stupid to reply this bullshit without reading my comment first?

          • Yoyo

So pal, didn’t know you had taken a bump, you now know everything there is to know.

          • James Tebrucio Luna

did you not read my comment at all? I clearly said I have a decent amount of knowledge… never said I knew everything but instead you two decided to read to much in my comment got upset and came up with replies about something I never said… but here let me be a little more level headed with you guys, instead of taking my comment too seriously view it as an opinion because that’s what it is MY opinion everyone in the wrestling business has one as do the fans. I’m not here make enemies nor to make friends but to have good conversations/debates because in the end we all love this business in one way or another.

The sad thing is, WWE adopted Twitter too late, and they’re just promoting the product to the existing market. This twitter overload isn’t causing the ratings to go up or any additional mainstream publicity, it only exists to allow the current fans to discuss the product, something they would be doing with or without WWE’s incentive.
It’s a biizarre state of affairs, and it makes me wonder just how they managed to reach the top of the wrestling pyramid when they’re so out of touch with the world.

  • Monkey D. Luffy

HHH bitches at internet fans but begs us all to buy the struggling WWE Network in order to tune into iPPVs. A large majority of the WWE audience are internet-based fans which have prompted the launch of the Network as the WWE.

    • wwefan

      dude stop complaining.

    • James Tebrucio Luna

Tell me when he bitched at the internet fans and when he started begging for network subscribers?

      • thesmarktank

Well, he was taking a bit of a jab n monday, but I think it was in humor. He said my friend “Mark.” You know what a mark is, I assume. Obvious jab, but I found it funny. And they’ve been promoting Network for months, very hard! Are they in direct contradiction? I don’t think so, as I think on Monday he was just mocking a bit, no real hard feelings.

    • thesmarktank

I don’t buy this “backstage” news. I think Trips likes to antagonize the IWC to get a rise out of us. He wouldn’t really want us to stop “complaining” or offering our feelings on the product, because his social media presence would dwindle to nearly nothing. We like to complain about wrestling more than we like wrestling! And any press is good press, the important thing is we talk about and are passionate about the product.

  • Guest

Well, I didn’t need that. Thanks a lot, Jake the Snake.

  • thesmarktank

    But…
