But 1991 didn’t exactly have the business cooking. Finally, Timeline has now incorporated WCW into its open-ended series. As with ECW and WWE, Timeline: The History of WCW will tackle the federation’s history…the good, the bad, and the ugly. We’ll start in the mid-80s as Crockett was priming to become WCW, and we’ll take it right through 2001 when it met its end. In this series premiere, Four Horsemen member Barry Windham sits down to take you through the year that Flair left with the belt, and Jim Herd was trying to recreate the Wizard of Oz in a wrestling ring.
