ThunderStruck: WWE Raw Analysis 09/16/13

Daniel Bryan kicks off Raw with the WWE Title. Triple H interrupts him and calls out referee Scott Armstrong for his fast count when Dbry won the gold. Armstrong eventually “gives up Dbry” and admits to a collusion on helping Dbry win. Hunter strips Dbry of the gold and declares the title held up. Randy Orton comes out and is furious. Hunter takes the WWE Title from Dbry and Orton nails Dbry with an RKO to end the segment. ^Most people expected this. It’s a nice kickoff to keep OrtonRead More

Mike Shannon’s Take: Is Daniel Bryan the Next Steve Austin?

I’m about do to something I haven’t done in years: praise WWE’s booking. Amazingly, the company has achieved this booking renaissance by rehashing an old favorite storyline: the good guy vs. the evil authority figure. The storyline involving Daniel Bryan and Triple H has been fantastic. Not only is Bryan receiving huge crowd reactions and getting over as a monster babyface in John Cena’s absence, but it also has elevated Triple H to mega-heel status and given fans someone to truly hate. Since the Attitude Era, there are very fewRead More

Welcome to this week’s Justin Credible Report exclusively on PWMania.com! Lots of news to discuss, so let’s get to it. I have one question I would like to ask the fans, did you really think Daniel Bryan was going to be allowed to keep the WWE title, after NOC PPV? I was crossing my fingers that the WWE wasn’t going to go in the direction they did. It was predictable, and felt desperate. WWE is putting out a solid product, don’t get me wrong, but I feel that they areRead More

Death of Wrestling: Contract Negotiations

Greetings to all… It’s David Davis with my weekly blog: Death of Wrestling. For all of those who read this regularly, you will know that this is not a blog about bashing wrestling; it’s a blog of a frustrated fan, who loves the business and wishes that each week it could be a little better. The world of professional wrestling is a weird and wonderful one. What we see on screen is only the tip of the iceberg of what professional wrestling really is. What makes some get over; whyRead More

ThunderStruck: WWE Smackdown Analysis 09/13/13

Big Show comes out and “apologizes” by reading from a piece of paper for his action on Raw. Triple H comes out and implies that he’ll fire Big Show. Show begs and Hunter instead suspends him for the night without pay. Big Show goes to leave and the Shield comes out. They beat him down after some back and forth antics and deliver the triple powerbomb. ^If Big Show doesn’t get involved in the WWE Title match on Sunday, I’ll be shocked. The guy has had so many heel/face turnsRead More

The Two Sheds Review: UFC Teixeira vs Bader

It’s time to make a third consecutive trip to the Octagon as we take a look at the UFC’s latest trip to Brazil for their Fight Night show, shown live this past Wednesday night/Thursday morning on BT Sports here in Britain. The broadcast began with the prelims and the welterweight encounter between Keith Wisiniewski and Ivan Jorge. This was one of those fights that didn’t really set the world on fire. For the first two rounds Jorge spent a great deal of time trying to secure a takedown against theRead More

The broadcast began with the prelims and the bantamweight encounter between Chico Camus and Kyung Ho Kang. This certainly proved to be an interesting three round affair. Most of the best work during the first round or so came from Kang afterRead More

The Two Sheds Review: UFC Condit vs Kampmann 2

After feeling under the weather during the past few days because of a “nasty” (my dentist’s quote, not mine) gum infection what better medicine is there than seeing some good old fashioned fightin’, which is why we’re stepping into the Octagon once again as Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann do battle for the second time on the UFC’s latest Fight Night, shown live in the early hours of this past Thursday morning on BT Sports here in Britain. We start we the prelims, beginning with the welterweight clash between JamesRead More

Hey guys, welcome back to The Justin Credible Report exclusively on PWMania.com. Lots of news, and happenings in the world of pro wrestling so lets jump right in. I wasn’t crazy about the Monday Night Raw broadcast. I missed out on watching a hell of a football game featuring the Eagles, and the Redskins. Oh well that’s life. The HHH power trip storyline continues, and Big Show this time around didn’t comply to HHH demands. This time around Orton was yelling at Show that HHH is the boss, then DanielRead More

You might guess this about me but for those who do not know, I’m pretty passionate about professional wrestling. Pro wrestling helped me escape from life when I couldn’t cope. Pro wrestling provided me with common ground from which I could build foundations for lifelong relationships. Pro wrestling gave me a career and sense of direction when I needed it. My involvement with pro wrestling (more specifically WWE) saved my life when I was at a turning point. My subsequent recovery gave me my career back as well as theRead More

Hi, I’m Ryan Nemeth. You might remember me as “Briley Pierce” the mouthy, know-it-all, former WWE Developmental Tag-Team Champion, or as “Grandma Dottie” the sexed-up octogenarian from @TheGoldenGals. As part of a creative installment plan for my crushing student loan payments, I’m now required to write a blog for PWMania.com. Enjoy. “From Layman to Professional Wrestler: A Journey Worth Seven-Hundred Words (Or Maybe Slightly More)” Ryan Nemeth     A person doesn’t simply decide to “become” a professional wrestler. It’s not an instantaneous transformation that occurs overnight. One does not wish reallyRead More

Welcome back to The Justin Credible Report exclusively on PWMania.com. I hope everyone enjoyed the long holiday weekend here in the U.S. WWE Raw continues to establish HHH, and Randy Orton as the top heels in the company. I liked the opening segment with HHH and Steph really cementing their roles as heels. HHH then set up Daniel Bryan vs. Big Show for the main event. Fast forward the Shield triple powerbomb Bryan while Show watched. HHH then ordered Show to knock out Bryan, and after much deliberation he did.Read More

The Wrestling Genius: We are Now Living in the World We Created

So, here we are. HHH is the top heel in the WWE and he’s teaming up with Randy Orton to accomplish that task. No, this isn’t 2003 and no it isn’t a bad thing. What? You thought I would hate this angle? At first I found the “power struggle” between Vince and HHH to be a bit tedious and to be honest I thought it would ultimately be pointless. I thought it was Vince trying to get cheap love on HHH who was sort of liked but wasn’t over likeRead More

Welcome back to The Justin Credible Report exclusively on PWMania.com. We have a lot to talk about, so let’s dive in. I was really surprised that Ted DiBiase Jr. will not be resigning with the WWE. It’s not like he has a lot of options in the wrestling business. There has to be more to this than meets the eye. I mean he has everything that the WWE looks for. He’s talented, young, good physique, and he’s a third generation wrestler. I know he hasn’t been on TV in aRead More

ThunderStruck: WWE Smackdown Analysis 08/23/13

Lilian Garcia introduces the Smackdown GM, Vickie Guerrero to start the show. Vickie introduces the new WWE Champion, Randy Orton. Orton cuts a nice promo about not needing anyone’s help to be WWE Champion. Daniel Bryan interrupts him and wants his rematch for the WWE Title tonight. Orton tells Dbry he’ll have to wait until Night of Champions. Orton goes for an RKO but Bryan counters and dropkicks him out of the ring. The crowd chants yes. ^Solid opening segment to hype the WWE Championship, but don’t we usually pushRead More
