Christian Returns To WWE & Wins WWE Intercontinental Title

Christian returned to WWE television tonight at Over the Limit pay-per-view. He won the Number One Contender Battle Royal to open the show which he used to face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Christian defeated Cody Rhodes, winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the fourth time in his career.

Christian suffered a high ankle sprain in November 2011 and returned briefly in March but was sidelined again after aggravating the same injury. He made his return to the ring during WWE’s post-Wrestlemania tour in the United Kingdom last month but had not been seen on television.
