CM Punk Doing Stand Up Comedy, Latest On Raw Commentary Team, Ref On Reality Show
- WWE Champion CM Punk and Colt Cabana will be doing a comedy show together on Wednesday night at ComedySportz in Lakeview, Illinois. Punk will share some of his stories from pro wrestling and after that, the ComedySportz improv group will act those stories out. The show benefits the Sam Thompson Memorial Fund. Sam was a wrestling fan who died back in June after battling stomach cancer and cystic fibrosis. There will also be a silent auction with wrestling memorabilia. The Chicago Tribune notes that Punk is eager to tell a story about Vince McMahon from one of their trips to Iraq for a Tribute to the Troops show.
- There’s no confirmation that Jim Ross will announce tonight’s RAW alongside Michael Cole but Ross wrote on Twitter he thinks that’s the plan.
- WWE referee Brian Nguyen appeared on this weekend’s episode of Bridezillas with his wife Davina Guzman, who is apparently a singer and actress. Part 2 of their episode will air next Sunday night on the WE network.
