Commercial Free Smackdown, The Rock’s Writer Returning
As a part of WWE Week on the USA Network, a special commercial free Smackdown will air live on December 18th. WWE week will feature The Slammy Award Edition of RAW, A commercial free Smackdown, Tribute to the Troops, The Big Show guest starring on USA’s Burn Notice, and CM Punk hosting a showing of The Rock’s movie, The Game Plan.
Brian Gewirtz is expected back in a limited capacity in January when The Rock makes his return to the company. Gewitz has been responsible for many of The Rock’s most memorable promos. Gewirtz was let go from his position as head writer of RAW several months ago.
