Dean Ambrose’s Return From Injury Might Be Delayed

It was reported earlier this week that Dean Ambrose had unexpectedly been pulled from his scheduled appearances during WrestleMania week.

Ambrose underwent successful surgery to repair a high-grade triceps tendon in December. Ambrose’s arm injury reportedly took place at the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view event back on October 22nd. During that pay-per-view, Ambrose took a bump on a table that didn’t break.

Following the match, his right arm immediately swelled up. While Ambrose didn’t take any time off and continued to work through the pain, things got worse over time. WWE stated Ambrose would be out nine months at the time of his surgery been announced.

Mike Johnson of PWinsider (transcript courtesy of ringsidenews.com) has noted that there is speculation that Ambrose has had a big setback with his recovery and may need additional surgery.

“I’m almost afraid to say this because I don’t want this to be the case but I almost expect that at some point we’re going to hear that he needed an additional surgery or he’s back to square one with physical therapy because of some kind of setback. It doesn’t make sense to me, three or four months after getting the surgery, he’s not well enough to sign some autographs for an hour or two.”
