Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Pain & Gain Receives Backlash From Victims
As noted earlier, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s latest movie flick “Pain and Gain” was at the top of the box office over the weekend with $20 million, however there was backlash against the film from victims of the real-life kidnapping the film is based on.
For those of you who didn’t know, the film is based on a series of articles written about the Sun Gym Gang, who kidnapped, tortured and murdered several victims in the 1990s. Since because “Pain and Gain” is presented as a comedy, there has been criticism of real life pain and death being presented as comedic in the film.
Criticism of the film was picked up by The Huffington Post.
