Early WWE SummerSlam 2013 Pay-Per-View Buyrate

Early estimates reveal that this year’s WWE Summerslam pay-per-view event drew around 298,000 buys.

The show drew 186,000 buys domestically and 112,000 buys internationally. By comparison, in the domestic market, SummerSlam was in the same neighborhood as the recent UFC show headlined by Jose Aldo vs. Chan Sung Jung.

Overall this is less than last year (Summerslam 2012 drew in 350,000) but it did draw much better internationally (Last year 85,000 was bought internationally). Still a great buy rate for Summerslam as the last 5-6 years it has roughly drawn around 300,000 buys. Well deserved after a spectacular show given to us. This was the first Summerslam in awhile that lived up to the billing as the #2 PPV.
