I’m in the movie “The Ultimate Death Match II” which is filming on today/Tuesday 27th . It would seem that EVERYBODY from the wrestling business in it. They still need extras for the crowd, so if you’re in the Louisville area, come out to the OVW arena by 10 a.m. & plan on a long day!

Tips to Lean Down, Mom/Bella and Anvil...
I’m at that point in my appearance I’m lean and mean looking, with veins popping out of my arms & even my lower belly is ripped. People stop me and say, “You must live at the gym.”
I do.
They’re giving me a shelf in their refrigerator soon. J/k. Sort of.
But my point is, even if I don’t win my Figure Competition in three weeks, I’m happy that 1.) I’ve lost the thirty pounds injury weight I put on and 2.) I’ve learned a lot on what works and what doesn’t in getting there.
Too many people WANT to look good…just not enough to do the hard work it takes to get there. Well, if you’ve been following my Countdown to Figure photos each week on my sites, I’m living proof that if you change a few things around in your lifestyle and habits, you can see a bit difference in a short period of time. Without drugs.
I can give you 5 suggestions. If you do these, you’ll see a difference by New Years:
1. Do 25-45 minutes of cardio first thing in the morning, right out of bed, before coffee. Walk, bike, whatever. Get moving and work your way up in time. This is when you’ll burn the most stored fat.
2. No gluten (flour) & no sugar. (So, kill off that Halloween candy quickly!) These types of foods store in the belly area. Change to rice products and stevia/truvia sweetener.
3. Eat more protein with every meal. Protein burns fat.
4. Cut out any drinks that have calories.
5. Move more throughout the day. Many of us are either sitting still or spinning like crazy at a gym for a half hour. There’s no in between. It’s redundant, but you have to move more though out the day. Park your car in a shopping center and walk to every store. Take the stairs. I always see chubby dog owners sitting around at the dog park while making sure their dogs run and play. Note: walk around! Plus, dogs are excellent workout partners…they are always ready to go and don’t make excuses during bad weather.
Personally, I get sick to death hearing people lament their (lack of great) genetics. Stop. It’s a piss poor excuse for not doing anything, when day-to-day habits are far more important than genetics.
Losing weight is a simple science of burning more calories than you take in, or taking in fewer calories than you burn. There’s nothing more to it than that. No magic pill or abs machine will change this fact.
Try this honestly for at least 6 weeks - I promise that you will see a difference.
I’ve had all kinds of SNAFUs with this competition …from personal/family issues to losing my sponsor, to having to get a replacement custom suit last minute. But it’s getting sorted out now and I’m so very thankful to all who have helped me! Speaking of difference, I got a big of good news today on my mom’s follow up scan: the chemotherapy may be working, since there’s some shrinking of the tumors. Whew! (ps. Don’t smoke!!!) I also picked up a squirming mass of Corgi puppy last week and have been getting acquainted with her. She’s devilishly cute, even when she wets on the floor. We’re going through chewies like crazy…
Awesome Documentary Alert: “Anvil! The Story of Anvil” shouldn’t be missed. Canadian metal band Anvil have been together since age 14, shared the stage with Bon Jovi and Whitesnake, yet never made it big. Now they are in their 50’s. This well shot documentary follows the lead singer’s endless optimism of rocking out for the love (not money) despite his menial day job and the bands management issues. Commentary by Metallica, Lemmy, etc. Two hours well spent. (Thank you ChuckFlix!)
