After shooting an angle to set the match up, former World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Riddick Bowe will not be making his pro wrestling debut on March 1st for the Preston City Wrestling promotion in England.

According to the promotion, their owner received a call from Regis Talent Management on December 13th. They claimed they were Bowe’s new representatives. PCW previously had an agreement with New World Sports Management for Bowe’s debut. The new company was asking for Bowe to be paid an additional $4,000. They also wanted PCW to pay for Mark Regis to accompany Bowe on the trip. Melendez emailed PCW, told them he was no longer in charge of Bowe and sent back the deposit PCW had already paid Bowe. When Regis found out the deposit was sent back, he told PCW they would honor the original contract but asked for the deposit to be sent back. PCW’s owner told Regis that he won’t deal with people he doesn’t trust and he didn’t trust them enough to send a deposit back, adding that the deal was off and he wanted no part in dealing with Bowe and company. Regis then apologized for asking for more money. Melendez told PCW that Bowe had contacted him and told him he was unaware of what Regis had done, and he (Bowe) is no longer being represented by Regis. Bowe wanted the old deal back and apologized to PCW.

PCW went on to book AJ Styles for February 28th and March 1st with the money that was earmarked for Bowe’s debut.
