Former WWE Star Added To ROH/NJPW Supershows, Title Match Announced

– Former WWE and current NJPW star, Doc Gallows, formerly known as Luke Gallows, a member of CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society, has been added to Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s supershows which take place next month on May 10 and May 17, in Toronto and New York, on iPPV.

Since leaving the WWE, Gallows had a short stint in TNA as a member of the Aces & Eights group under the name “DOC”, which stood for the “Director of Chaos”. After leaving he quickly popped up in New Japan Pro Wrestling as a member of the Bullet Club faction, becoming a full time roster member and forming a team within the group alongside Karl Anderson. The two defeated Killer Elite Squad, Lance Archer (formerly Lance Hoyt of TNA and Vance Archer of WWE) and Davey Boy Smith Jr (formerly DH Smith) for the IWGP Tag Team Championships.

As part of the announcement, Ring of Honor confirmed that Gallows, along with partner Anderson, will defend their titles on May 17 in New York City at the sold-out Hammerstein Ballroom against a team representing ROH. This addition also means that all members of the Bullet Club except for Tama Tonga and Bad Luck Fale will feature at the shows.
