Goldberg Talks About Possibly Returning To WWE, Which Stars He Would Like To Face & More

Bill Goldberg’s new interview with Jim Ross on The Ross Report is now online and can be heard below.

Goldberg confirmed that he had recent talks with WWE about returning to the ring but they didn’t go that far. Goldberg did let the company know that he’s interested.

Regarding a potential return feud, Goldberg named Roman Reigns, Triple H and Brock Lesnar as potential stars he would like to face but said he would let WWE decide those details. He said he will always have unfinished business with Triple H and Lesnar but would be interested in facing Reigns because they both played college football in Georgia.

Goldberg noted that he does not watch WWE these days, and hasn’t in years, but hears about some of the things going on through Twitter. He still talks to some wrestlers, including Lesnar, but they never talk about wrestling.

He had his chance to wrestle at WrestleMania 30 and he turned them down. Now he wants to come back?? I don’t think WWE should allow it. What would have been better than having a return match at WM30?? Now just a few months later he’s changed his mind? No.

He was more so against returning to do the Goldberg/Ryback thing. He’s always said it’s up to WWE as well as the money they offer & stated that his son has never seen him wrestle and that he’d return for a match for that reason. WWE was leaning towards Ryback vs Goldberg at WM XXX & he constantly shot down the idea of that match. Now that’s he’s naming people he’d like to face, if WWE really wants him now would be the time to jump over it, but I don’t think they’re (HHH) is into him right now

If you wanna come back you may wanna get familiar with the current product, unless of course you’re just coming back for the cash grab which is what I suspect is the case here.

Goldberg is one of the most popular stars from the Monday night wars/attitude era. If they book him right, it is a gold mine.
