Identity Of Person Who Attacked John Cena On Tonight’s Raw
The individual who attacked John Cena at the conclusion of tonight’s Raw and subsequently joined CM Punk’s Nexus faction is WWE developmental wrestler Mason Ryan, the reigning FCW Heavyweight Champion.
A stipulation added by the anonymous Raw General Manager prevented any members of Punk’s Nexus faction from interfering in the match, with their penalty for doing so being removed from the upcoming Royal Rumble match. Throughout the show, Punk told the wary members of his stable to “have faith.” At the pinnacle of the match, Ryan ran in and distracted Cena, allowing Punk to capitalize and take Cena down. Ryan entered the ring and delivered a standing kick to the face of Punk, causing Cena to be disqualified for benefiting from interference. He then laid Cena out with an Elevated Side Slam. Afterward, Ryan kneeled in front of Punk and was presented with a Nexus armband, signifying his acceptance into the group.
Ryan, who’s real name is Barri Griffiths, is a 29-year old Welsh wrestler WWE signed in 2009. He debuted in Florida Championship Wrestling last January and won the developmental promotion’s title in July.
