Independent Wrestler Wins Major Lawsuit Over WWE Hall Of Famer, Raw Twitter TV Ratings Up

CBC News in Canada reports that a judge ruled earlier today that WWE Hall of Famer Abdullah the Butcher must pay indie wrestler Devon Nicholson $2.3 million in damages. Nicholson sued Abdullah and claimed that he contracted Hepatitis C from the wrestling legend after a bloody match in 2007. Abdullah allegedly bladed Nicholson without his consent. Abdullah has publicly denied he has the disease and has 30 days to appeal.

– Monday night’s WWE RAW ranked #3 among non-sporting events for the night in Nielsen’s new Twitter TV ratings, behind ABC’s The Bachelorette and VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. RAW had a unique audience of 1,750,000, which represents the number of Twitter accounts that commented on the show. This was up from the previous week. RAW had total impressions of 10,983,000, which represents the number of times the show was tweeted about. This was also up from the previous week.
