AAA has cancelled their scheduled TV taping in Acapulco on 11/20 with no reasons yet announced on why this decision was made. AAA did announce though that they will be taping shows for Galavision & FOX Sports Espanol on 11/14 & 11/15 at Six Flags over Mexico in Mexico City.
Hijo del Santo went off on AAA & EMLL in his column that he writes for Diario Record starting off with AAA saying that since Antonio Pena died, the people in charge of the company think about nothing but themselves and how to get themselves over hence why some of the bigger names have left with more probably to follow. Santo said that he worked Triplemania because they offered him the moon and the stars and he thought with the arrival of Dr. Wagner Jr. & Silver King that they could really help out the promotion but after being at two shows, he knew there was no helping them and the money would be lower than what he wanted. He said that he was also surprised at the lack of unity in their locker room which made sense after he saw the lack of respect that AAA management had for their wrestlers and their fans. Santo thinks that it won’t be long before AAA becomes a predominantly foreigner promotion because the powers that be value them way more than their homegrown talent.
Santo then went on to EMLL saying that the money generated by the promotion only goes to a few hands and the wrestlers that are severely underpaid won’t complain because they fear being blackballed. Santo then went on to talk about how EMLL is ruining the foreign tours he has had setup because they are going to promoters with hardly any knowledge of lucha libre and are getting small crowds which is hurting his tours. Santo then went onto Perros del Mal saying that getting on TV may be the worst thing to happen to them because the other promotions that have had TV forever are still struggling because they don’t know how to market their product and is the main reason why more fans in Mexico are flocking to the WWE.
There is talk that Hijo del Rey Misterio has been secretly training in the EMLL gym in Mexico City after being sent there by his father Rey Misterio and he will be integrated into the lineups soon.
