Jake “The Snake” Roberts Talks On Wanting To Enter Next Year’s WWE Royal Rumble Match

Jake “The Snake” Roberts mention during a recent interview that he has made it his goal to enter next year’s 2014 Royal Rumble match.

“I’m announcing that right now,” Roberts told Fox Sports. “I’ll be in the Royal Rumble next year, count on it.”

Roberts motivation is fueled by him not wanting people to remember his final wrestling matches to be independent shows when he was out-of-shape, in poor health, and battling addictions.

“I worked too hard in this business to go out that way. So I guess we’re going to have to take a victory lap. I’m definitely coming back,” Roberts vowed at the end of the article.

Fox Sports’s story also covered Roberts’s association with DDP, who helped Roberts turn his life around in the Accountability Crib.

It’s worth noting that Robert’s last appearance as a full time employee with the WWE was at the 1997 Royal Rumble where he entered at no. 7 and was eliminated by Stone Cold Steve Austin.
