John Cena Set To Move To WWE RAW Brand Soon

John Cena’s run on SmackDown Live is coming to an end. The former WWE Champion is being billed as “a free agent,” which means that he can appear on both Raw and SmackDown Live. Cena has already gone on record by saying that the reason for being a free agent is due to him knowing that his time as an active WWE Superstar is winding down and he wants to be able to wrestle Superstars on both brands.

He is scheduled for his first Raw pay-per-view since the Draft last year with WWE No Mercy at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, September 24th. In regards to when he will stop working SmackDown TV events, it will be with the SummerSlam go-home show on Tuesday, August 15th. After that, he is only scheduled to work Monday Night Raw tapings and Raw pay-per-views.

Cena will only be working RAW live events starting this month except for the SmackDown live event on Monday, August 14th at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA.

Cena is set to go one-on-one with Shinsuke Nakamura on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live. The winner of this match will face WWE Champion Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam on August 20th.
