John Cena – The Marine 3 Correction
We would like to post a correction for an article that was posted last night about John Cena being confirmed for The Marine 3. That report is inaccurate, and was from an article published on Deadline.com in February. Since that article was posted, WWE confirmed Randy Orton to star in the film, who was subsequently pulled from the project after several real Marines complained because Orton had deserted them when he was in the United States Marine Corps before signing with WWE.
Cena was originally one of the names considered for the film before Orton got the nod, as were Cody Rhodes and CM Punk. So while it is still possible that he will star in the film’s third installment, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
