News From This Week’s Smackdown Tapings; Dark Matches
- JTG vs. Curt Hawkins was taped before last night’s WWE tapings in Lafayette for this Thursday’s WWE Superstars on WGN America.
- The dark match before last night’s WWE tapings saw Trent Baretta defeat Abraham Washinton, the former ECW interviewer who is still in WWE developmental. Washington cut a heel promo before the match.
- The dark main event after last night’s SmackDown tapings saw Edge beat Kane via DQ when Kane used a chair. Edge then speared Kane to end the show.
- WWE NXT 4 Rookie Johnny Curtis leads the Immunity Standings with 2 points after last night’s Week 2 episode. Jacob Novak and Byron Saxton are the only other Rookies with Immunity Points at 1 each.
Curtis, Brodus Clay and Conor O’Brian are all 1-0 after Week 2 while Novak and Saxton are 0-1. Derrick Bateman currently has a win-loss record of 0-2.
