- WWE Champion CM Punk defeated World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus on Wednesday night’s Main Event. The actual main event of the show ended up being Zack Ryder and Santino Marella vs. Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel in a tag team tournament match. Ryder and Santino won so they advance to the semifinals to face Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes.
- Michael Cole announced on Wednesday night’s debut episode of WWE Main Event that next week’s show will feature Randy Orton vs. Big Show.
