A NEW BRAND IN A NEW ERA OF WRESTLING!!!!!
Inside a sold out Madison Square Garden in New York history had been written all over again after a week of finding out that RAW & Smackdown are gone for good it’s the birth of a new brand RSM Nitro, Stephanie McMahon came out and she said that after Mania things changed in the wrestling business, RAW couldn’t keep up and slowly vanished, Smackdown on the other hand was successful but couldn’t fill up the emptiness RAW left in the budget of RSM management, so the board of directors decided to take a new road and boy this baby could win it all, Nitro has become a brand with all the top superstars, the Smackdown roster stayed intact but from RAW a lot of superstars made there way to the roster and that’s why tonight we will see 2 Unification matches to determine which superstar or tag team will become the first Nitro champions but of course some things couldn’t be brought back and that was the Intercontinental Championship, Brock who had the belt doesn’t get a spot on the roster and therefore the belt will vanish and the Television Championship will be the belt that holds that spot, further tonight we will see the New World Order battle it out with MNM for the Unification of the Tag Team Championships and Kurt Angle the RAW champion will battle it out with the dark prince and SD champion the Undertaker in the main event, further most of the women will be fired as well and therefore the women’s title is gone and also the European Championship as well, there have been a lot of questions seeing that the ECW Alliance is part of Nitro, does it mean that the Hardcore title comes in, I can say you this No it won’t, the ECW World Championship stays as a title so hopefully everyone enjoys the new road we have taken.
In first match ever on Nitro the Light weights started the show with a 3 way dance between Bryan Danielson, Shannon Moore & Jamie Noble, Danielson made it known in the early going that he was the contender for the title and beat than Moore into the corner as Noble helped him out, they double teamed Moore and nailed a double back body drop on him as Danielson than turned on Noble and nailed him with a neckbreaker, Danielson went to the top and nailed a flying head butt on Noble and covered but Noble kicked out, Danielson than slammed Moore into the corner and followed but Moore countered with a elbow and than dropkicked Danielson down who rolled to the outside, Moore than nailed Noble with a closeline and dropped a elbow and covered but Noble kicked out, Moore than nailed a flying body splash on Noble but Noble kicked out again, Moore than nailed a DDT on Noble but Danielson was back into the ring and closelined Moore down big time, Danielson than nailed a double arm suplex on Moore and covered but he kicked out, Danielson nailed a German suplex on Moore as Noble than entered and nailed a fall away slam on Danielson and covered but he kicked out, Noble than wanted to finish Danielson off with his finisher but Danielson countered and pushed Noble into the ropes and kicked him into the midsection and than powerbombed him down as Moore than nailed a heel kick on Danielson and covered but he kicked out, Moore went to the top and looked for the 450 splash but Danielson rolled out of the way as Danielson tried to get back at the ropes as Noble ran to him but Danielson saw him coming and nailed a back body drop of the ropes to the outside as Danielson than picked up Moore and nailed the Dagger Bomb on him for the win as Danielson won the first match, after the match it was Petey Williams coming down and clocked Danielson with the belt right into the face and told him that that would be the closest way to get that title as he laughed and showed the title in the air.
HHH is walking backstage as he walks up to RAW World champion Kurt Angle as both men looks at each other as HHH told Angle that it seems that he is finally on a show that will see winners, Angle said that he wore a championship and that was something HHH couldn’t say, HHH than came nose to nose with Angle and said that after tonight Angle wouldn’t have a title anymore as well, Angle said that tonight he would become the Unified champion and that there wasn’t anybody who could do something about it as HHH than said that Angle should watch his back because he was now in the house of the Game and he would make sure that he would become the champion very soon because the opportunity belonged to him.
In the second match newcomer Edge took on Charlie Haas in singles action as Edge dominated the early going of the match and nailed a backbreaker on Haas and held him into a submission but Haas refused to tap as Edge than nailed a side walk slam and covered but Haas kicked out, Edge send Haas into the ropes and dropkicked him down as Edge went to the second rope and jumped to Haas but Haas got his leg up right into the face of Edge knocking him down as Haas got back up and slammed Edge head first into the turnbuckles and than nailed a couple of shoulder blocks into the midsection of Edge, he than put Edge onto the top turnbuckle and followed and than nailed a huge Hurricarana of the top back into the ring as the fans were loving it as Haas covered but Edge kicked out, Haas than nailed a neckbreaker on Edge and covered again but Edge kicked out again, Haas send Edge into the ropes and ducks as Edge nails a double arm DDT on Haas and gets back up, he slams Haas into the corner and follows but Haas counters with a elbow to the face, he than picks up Edge and nails a body press slam on him and covers but Edge kicked out, Haas than wants to finish it but Edge counters it and puts Haas into a sleeper but Haas gets out with a fall away slam as both men are down as the ref makes the count, both men get back up and nails each other with lefts and rights as Edge gets the better of Haas and sends him into the ropes and spears him down big time as Edge signals for the end and there it comes Edgecution on Haas that shook the ring as Edge scored his first win on Nitro.
Lollipop marched to ringside with the ECW Heavyweight champion Abyss following her, Lollipop took a mic and she said that entering Nitro with Abyss still as ECW champion they should all remember that no one can beat Abyss under any circumstances, she said he can beat whatever man they throw in front of him and he isn’t afraid of any superstar alive, he can match himself with wrestlers like Undertaker or Kane, he is as deadly as they are, she said that Abyss would hold on the ECW title and RVD and his companions will never take it away from him, ECW music hits the arena as Paul Heyman lead the way with the ECW Alliance behind him, Heyman said he heard things right, a doll like you will tell me a master mind that we will never see a new ECW champion, think again bitch, it seems you didn’t remember that I have the co-GM rights to Nitro and I can make whatever match I want against whoever I want and if I decide that I want to see Abyss taking on all members of the ECW Alliance for the title tonight I can book it as the fans went nuts but he said it wouldn’t happen tonight but tonight Abyss would be taught a lesson to not mess with the Alliance as he send his boys to ringside as RVD stood besides Heyman as Sabu, Awesome, Raven, Lynn made there way to the ring and entered the ring as Abyss battled them all as he threw Awesome over the ropes to the outside and than slammed Raven & Lynn against each other as Sabu had grabbed a chair and dropkicked it right into the face of Abyss as the monster still on his feet as Sabu slammed the chair right into the face of Abyss who fell on one knee as Sabu wanted to nail him again as Abyss got up and grabbed Sabu by the throat and Chokeslammed him down big time as Lollipop laughed as RVD walked to ringside as Abyss looked at him as from out of the fans Rhino jumps over the barrier and enters the ring as RVD points as Abyss as Abyss turns around he is met with a vicious Gore of Rhino as RVD jumps into the ring as than all members of the Alliance beats down Abyss but wait there comes Chris Benoit with a chair in hand running to ringside as he clocks it right into the face of Lynn & Awesome as the rest abandon the ring and walks up the ramp as Benoit looks at them as Heyman looks pissed at Benoit and yelled in the mic that Benoit would pay for it just like Abyss had it tonight as the Alliance have found themselves another member in the man beast Rhino.
The next match was a Unification Match for the World Tag Team Championship as former RAW Tag champions MNM took on Smackdown Tag champions New World Order, the match started with Hall taking on Nitro as Nitro slammed Hall into the corner and worked on his midsection, he than send him into the ropes and connected with a back body drop as Hall got back up but Nitro closelined him down and than closelined him down a second time as Hall got back up as Nitro nailed a powerslam on him and tagged in Mercury, they double teamed Hall and they picked him up and dropped him head first into the mat as Mercury made the cover but Hall kicked out, Melina stood at ringside firing up her boys, Mercury send Hall into the ropes and ducks as Hall kicked him into the face and nailed a belly to belly on him and made the tag to Nash who than closelined Mercury down big time, he picked him up and dropped him head first onto the top turnbuckle and followed with sneak eyes and covered but Mercury kicked out, Nash send Mercury into the ropes and grabbed him and levelled him with a side walk slam and made another cover but again he kicked out, Nash than slammed Mercury hard into the corner and followed with a closeline and than nailed Mercury with a elbow to the face, Nash than send Mercury into the ropes and connected with a big boot and than dropped a elbow and covered as Nitro broke it up, Nash tagged in Hall as they double teamed Mercury and send him into the ropes and connected with a double back body drop, Hall distracted the ref as Nash was choking Mercury in the corner, Hall than put his foot onto the throat of Mercury as the ref start counting as Hall released it and picked up Mercury and threw him to the outside and followed as Melina complaint by the ref, Hall picked up Mercury and dropped him head first onto the ring barrier as Nitro walked to it as the ref stopped him as Hall nailed Mercury with a cheat shot right between the legs and rolled him back into the ring and covered as the ref counted but Mercury kicked out, Hall tagged in Nash who send Mercury into the ropes but misses a closeline as Mercury than dropkicked Nash down and was able to tag in Nitro as Nash got up but Nitro kicked him into the midsection and levelled him with a double arm DDT as Hall entered the ring as Nitro kicked him to and nailed a reversed neckbreaker on him as Nash got up to his feet as Nitro closelined Nash over the ropes to the outside as Steiner ran to ringside and went after Melina as Melina ran around the ring with Steiner following as Melina entered as Steiner did so but Nitro & Mercury than closelined him down big time, Nash than grabbed Nitro by the legs and pulled him to the outside as Mercury turned around Hall kicked him into the midsection and signalled for the end as he put Mercury up for the Outsiders Edge but Melina grabbed Hall by the legs giving Mercury some time who than countered it into a vicious DDT as both men were down, on the outside Nash wanted to slam Nitro against the steel steps but Nitro reversed it as Nash was hit hard into the steel, Nitro stepped back up the apron as Steiner came up the apron as well but Nitro dropkicked him off the apron as Mercury than made the tag to Nitro as they send Hall into the ropes and there it comes Snap Shot that shook the ring as Nitro covered as the ref made the count as MNM won the match and are the first ever Nitro World Tag Team champions unifying the Tag Team Championships as Melina grabbed the titles and gave it to her boys as they celebrated there massive win here tonight.
We see Stephanie McMahon sitting in her office as Paul Heyman walked in as both stared at each other as Stephanie wanted to know what he wanted as Paul said relax woman as he said that since both have control as GM of Nitro, he could make matches happen as well, he said that for August the first ever Nitro PPV will happen and it would be headlined by a extreme match, he said that it would be brutal, 6 superstars will battle it out with only one winner, he said that for the ECW World Championship the title will be defended in a Armageddon House of Pain Match, Stephanie said fine but first she wanted to know what kind of match it was and who would participate in it, Paul said it will be a Cell surrounded with weapons, think off chairs, sledgehammer, kendo sticks, barbed wire you name it, he said that Abyss would defend it against 5 superstars that he hand picks, Stephanie said that that wouldn’t happen, she said he would hand pick 5 ECW Alliance members to face Abyss because you want that title back, she said that Friday on Rebellion we would see the first 2 qualifying matches and next week on Nitro the other 3 to determine the 5 superstars, Paul was annoyed but said fine but 5 members of the Alliance will battle in those matches, Stephanie said ok but she would book there opponents as Paul lost it and was furious as he walked away as Stephanie grinned.
Next up Michael Shane would defend his Television Championship against his uncle Shawn Michaels, before the match Michael said that Shawn was great but it was time to move on as he looked at the new greatness in the business, he knew Shawn said he wouldn’t make it on Smackdown but he proved him wrong by holding the TV title, he said he would respect his uncle and give him a change to walk off from this match, Shawn thought about it and said that since they are reunited in one brand once again he would whip his ass again just like he did before Michael decided to leave as he levelled Michael with a closeline as the match was underway, HBK took control in the early going and out wrestled his cousin Michael who was frustrated and rolled out of the ring as HBK told him to get back for some more as Shane entered the ring again as the hooked it up but Shane countered with a head lock as HBK than send him into the ropes but Shane closelined him down as HBK got back up as Michael slapped Shawn right into the face, HBK than took full control and overpowered his cousin and slammed him hard into the corner and nailed him with stiff right hands and than send him into the ropes and connected with a back body drop as Shane got back up it was this time that HBK slapped Shane right into the face as Shane wanted to attack HBK but missed a shot to him as HBK nailed a neckbreaker on Shane and covered but kicked out, HBK than held Shane into a sleeper but somehow Shane got out of it with a fall away slam as both men were down, HBK got up first and picked up Shane who countered HBK with a DDT and covered but Shawn kicked out, the action went to the outside were Shane slammed HBK into a steel post as the ref told him to get back into the ring as Shane rolled HBK back into the ring and went to the top and delivered with a flying elbow and covered but Shawn kicked out, Shane than signalled for the end and looked for Sweet Chin Music and tunes up the band but HBK saw it coming and ducked and nailed a belly to belly to Shane as HBK got back up and went to the top himself and delivered a flying elbow of his own and covered but Shane kicked out, HBK was back up as Shane tried to get back up as HBK nailed him with a bulldog and than signalled for it and this time he tuned up the band but Shane caught the foot of HBK but HBK countered that again with a kick to the face as Shane was down as HBK made the cover but Shane kicked out, HBK than send Shane into the ropes but misses a closeline as he accidentally knocked out the ref as HBK turned around Shane wanted to nail him but HBK ducked and closelined Shane down as HBK awaited Shane to get back up as Shane turned around as HBK nailed him with Sweet Chin Music as Shane was down but wait a minute as Cade & Jindrak ran to ringside and attacked HBK and beat him down pretty bad as Shane got time to recover as Cade & Jindrak picked up HBK and delivered the Mark of Honour on HBK that shook the ring as they left the ring as the ref slowly got back up as Shane was back up as well and looked at the Honour Society and than awaited till Shawn got back up as HBK did and was met with Sweet Chin Music as Shane covered as the ref slowly counted the 3 as Michael Shane has beaten his uncle to retain the Television Championship with help of the Honour Society.
Backstage we see Evolution with a very pissed off Batista who still was upset of what happened at Judgment Day where he should have been champion but Sabin cost him that title as Sabin got into the face of Batista and said that it was Batista who attacked him and cost him the World Championship, Flair got between both men and said that it was history and they should work together once again and stay on top as the most dominant group, he said that since it is now Nitro they have a lot more competition, so if both men want a shot at the gold they need to stay together, Sabin shook Flairs hand and said he was in for that but Batista looked at both men and decided to not shake the hand of Flair and said whatever and walked off as Flair looked at Sabin who grinned and said that they would teach him a lesson who he wouldn’t forget.
It was time for the main event to unify the RAW World Championship and Smackdown World Heavyweight Championship as Kurt Angle had to battle it out with the most dominant superstar in recent years the Undertaker, Taker took early control and overpowered Angle in the early going and slammed him hard into the corner and than nailed him with some stiff shots to the face and choked him into the corner, Taker than send Angle into the ropes and connected with a big boot and covered but Angle kicked out, Taker again send Angle into the ropes and caught him with a side walk slam as Taker got back up and than dropped a massive leg drop on Angle and covered but Angle kicked out again, Taker than slammed Angle into the corner and followed but Angle countered with a elbow the face and than nailed a belly to belly on Taker and nailed him with lefts and rights, he than slams Taker into the corner and kicks him several times into the midsection, Angle send Taker into the ropes and connected with a back body drop and than put Taker into a sleeper but Taker refused to tap out and eventually was able to get back up his feet and nailed a fall away slam on Angle as both men were down as the ref made the count, Taker got back up and grabbed Angle and clocked him down, Taker than picked up Angle and slammed him head first into the turnbuckles and than nailed a massive elbow to the face of Angle, Taker send Angle into the ropes and ducked as Angle countered with a DDT and covered but Taker kicked out and got back up as Angle than closelined Taker over the ropes to the outside but Taker landed on his feet as Angle stood on the apron and jumped to Taker who caught Angle and slammed him back first into the ring post as Angle is in huge pain as Taker than slams him a second time into the post as Taker rolled Angle back into the ring and grabbed him and laid him on the outside of the apron as Taker stepped onto the apron and dropped another huge leg drop on Angle who dropped back to the outside as Taker picked him up and slammed him hard into the steel steps before rolling him back into the ring and followed and covered but Angle kicked out, Taker than went for old school and delivered it and covered again but Angle kicked out, Taker than looked for the Last Ride but somehow Angle got out of it and kicked Taker into the midsection and nailed a reversed neckbreaker on him and covered but Taker kicked out, Angle than picked up Taker and slammed him into the corner and stood on the second rope and nailed Taker with hard right hands but Taker countered and grabbed Angle and nailed a devastating Last Ride out of the corner as the fans went nuts as Taker slowly made the cover but somehow Angle kicked out as Taker couldn’t believe it, Taker than send Angle into the ropes and grabbed him by the throat and looked for a Chokeslam but Angle countered it and reversed it into a Ankle Lock on Taker who refused to tap out and eventually was able to reach the ropes, Angle than send Taker into the ropes and caught with a double arm suplex and covered but Taker kicked out, Angle than picked up Taker and nailed him with a Angle Slam and signalled for it as he grabbed Taker in another Ankle Lock in the centre of the ring as Taker tried to reach the ropes but he couldn’t but there comes HHH down to ringside and jumped on the apron as Angle looked him right into the eyes and released the hold as he argued with HHH who smiled and said he would take care of Angle as Angle wanted to nail him with a hard punch but HHH ducked and than grabbed the head of Angle bouncing him off the top rope as Angle turned around as Taker was back up and grabbed him by the throat and Chokeslammed him down to the mat as Taker than signalled for the end as he picked up Angle and there it comes Tombstone Piledriver that shook the ring as Taker covered for the win and became the Undisputed World Heavyweight champion as HHH entered the ring and grabbed Angle and slammed him into the corner and beat the living hell out of him as Taker looked on with both Championship belts in hand as Paul Bearer escorted Taker up the ramp with belts as HHH continued his assault on Angle and eventually nailed him with the Pedigree and stood before a fallen Angle as the show went off the air.
