SUMMERSLAM IS HEATING UP!!!!!
Inside another sold out Verizon Centre in Washington it was HBK Shawn Michaels kicking off the show by coming down to ringside, HBK than addressed the fans that since arriving to Nitro he has had his problems with his cousin Michael Shane but it will all end at SummerSlam, he said that he would challenge Michael to a match, he wants to be better than me and beat me on my own game so Michael why don’t you bring your ass to the ring and accept my challenge, TV champion Michael Shane came down and he said that he was becoming tired of listening to his uncle and always saying that he can’t be that good as him, Michael said he proved his uncle and all the fans around the world that he is a winner, he said he was the first man ever that won the IC Championship, US Championship & TV Championship and he also battled big man and went to Hell at Judgment Day, he said that his uncle should have more respect for him as a wrestler, HBK said that Michael indeed have come from a long way and that he achieved a lot but that’s in the past now, you wanted to humiliate me but not on your own, you needed the Honour Society to do that but now for SummerSlam I want a match against you one on one and to make it interesting, why don’t we make it a Ladder Match for your Television Championship as the fans cheered for it as Michael thought about it and looked at the fans, Michael said that if he agreed to do that match and he would beat his uncle, than he wanted HBK to make a apologise to him and respect his own family and agree that you can make it into this business, HBK said that would be fine as Michael said he agreed to do this match and he would let the world see why he is a great entertainer and that he is the next showstopper.
The first match was for the World Tag Team Championship as MNM took on The Naturals, Nitro started the match against Stevens and dominated him in the early going as MNM showed great team chemistry, they double teamed Stevens and nailed him with a double closeline, Mercury than send Stevens into the ropes and kicked him into the midsection and than nailed a German Suplex on him and made the cover but Stevens kicked out, Mercury tagged in Nitro and nailed a backbreaker on Stevens as Nitro was on the second rope and nailed a elbow onto Stevens and covered but Stevens kicked out, Nitro slammed Stevens into the corner and followed but Stevens countered with a elbow and was able to tag in Douglas who closelined Nitro down several times and also whipped Mercury of the apron, Douglas nailed a neckbreaker on Nitro and covered but he kicked out, Douglas than nailed a Atomic Drop and wanted to elevate himself into the ropes but Melina grabbed him by the legs as Douglas turned around and argued with Melina who smiled as Douglas turned around Nitro closelined him over the ropes to the outside as Nitro than elevated himself over the ropes right onto Douglas as the fans loved it, Nitro was up and rolled Douglas back into the ring and covered but Douglas kicked out, Nitro tagged in Mercury and they send Douglas into the ropes and connected with a double back body drop as Mercury followed that with a leg drop on Douglas and covered but Douglas kicked out, Mercury send Douglas into the ropes and ducked as Douglas saw it and kicked Mercury into the face and than nailed a belly to belly on him and tagged in Stevens, they than nailed the Natural Disaster on Mercury as Nitro stormed into the ring and threw Douglas over the ropes to the outside as he turned around Stevens dropkicked him down and than covered Mercury but Mercury kicked out just in time, Stevens than picked up Mercury and wanted to nail a DDT on him but Mercury somehow countered it as Nitro was back up as they nailed the Snap Shot on Stevens as Mercury made the cover as Nitro kicked Douglas down as the ref made the count as MNM retained the World Tag Team Championship as Melina entered the ring with the titles and gave it to there boys as they held it into the air to celebrate there win.
Stephanie McMahon sat in her office as Team Canada showed up, Roode asked Stephanie who would face Petey Williams for the Light Weight Championship at SummerSlam so they could prepare for that, Stephanie said that no one of them would interfere in that match otherwise he would be stripped of the title because just like on Smackdown she wanted fair matches between the superstars involved, she said that next week there would be a 12 man Battle Royal to determine the 1# contender and that also means that both Devine & Young are in that match, the last 2 standing in that match will battle each other to a pinfall and become the 1# contender for that match, she further said that Roode should worry about his match with Chris Jericho as he than asked Team Canada to leave as they did.
Big Show made his way to ringside and he said that nobody could stop him, he said that last week he beat down 3 members of the Alliance and on August 27 he only had to beat 5 other superstars in a match that would make a huge favourite of winning it, he said that the ECW Championship would be his and there isn’t anybody of the Alliance who could stop him of becoming the new champion but Show forgot the current champion as Lollipop made her way down to ringside followed by the monster himself the ECW champion Abyss, Lollipop took a mic and she told Big Show that he forgot about the champion, she said he didn’t have to worry the Alliance but worry the monster known as Abyss, Show looked to Abyss and he said he could beat him any time of the week as Abyss came face to face with Show as he said to Show that if Show had the guts of facing Abyss than why don’t you do that right now, Show wasn’t prepared for that answer and looked to back out of it but he thought about it and said he would accept it if Abyss would put the ECW Championship on the line, Abyss said he would and it would be under Extreme Rules.
The match was next as both monsters battled it out as Show seem to have more strength than his opponent Abyss and slammed the champion into the corner and followed with a big splash into the corner but Abyss was still standing, Show send Abyss into the ropes and connected with a big boot but Abyss sat back up as Show nailed a huge elbow onto the head of Abyss who fell back into the corner as Show than nailed him with some huge right hands, he again send Abyss into the ropes but misses a closeline as Abyss countered that and closelined the big man down with ease as Show rolled out of the ring but Abyss followed him and nailed him with a huge uppercut and than he slammed Show right into the steel steps, Abyss than picked up Show and than dropped him head first onto the steel steps as the fans were behind the champion in this one, Abyss rolled Show back into the ring as Abyss grabbed himself a chair and followed, Abyss than clocked the chair several times onto the back of Show and than awaited the big man to get back up as Show turned he slammed the chair right into the face of Show knocking him out cold as Abyss made the cover but Show kicked out just in time, Abyss than put the chair between 2 ropes and than nailed Show with some right hands and than send Show right into the corner as Show was slammed hard into the chair as Abyss than caught him and delivered a awesome back body suplex onto the big man and covered but again Show kicked out just in time, Abyss went to the outside and brought in a table and set it up as he picked up Show but Show fought back and slammed Abyss into the corner and than he picked up Abyss and powerbombed him straight threw the table as the fans couldn’t believe it as Show covered but Abyss kicked out as Show was stunned as were the fans, Show rolled to the outside and grabbed the title and went back in as Abyss got himself back up and turned around as Show clocked him right into the face with the belt knocking the champion down as Show made another cover but again Abyss kicked out and sat back up as Show couldn’t believe it, he awaited Abyss to turn around and grabbed him by the throat but Abyss than grabbed Show by the throat as well as Abyss slammed the hand away of Show and Chokeslammed him down as the fans cheered on him as Abyss covered but Show kicked out in time, Abyss wanted to end it and send Show into the ropes but Show kicked down Abyss, Show grabbed the chair and slammed it right onto the back of Abyss who was in pain, Show than slammed the chair right between the eyes of Abyss who knocked down into the corner as Show picked him up and slammed him several times head first into the turnbuckles as Show than stood onto the second rope and nailed Abyss with hard right hands but Abyss counters and picks up Show onto his shoulder and delivers a running powerbomb on the 500 pound monster that shook the ring, Abyss crawled over for the cover but somehow Show got a shoulder up as Abyss got back up and saw the chair and send Show into the ropes and nailed a devastating Black Hole Slam right onto the chair but Abyss wasn’t done and went to the outside and grabbed the ring steps and threw it into the ring and entered it himself, he picked up the steps as Show slowly got back up as Abyss clocked the steps right into the face of Show who was busted open, Abyss than picks up Show and than delivered a vicious Black Hole Slam right onto the steps as the fans chanted a holy shit as Abyss covered a scored a huge victory here tonight as he retained the ECW Championship against the 500 pound Big Show as fans stood onto there feet, who can stop Abyss as the champion made a huge impact here tonight.
Maria was backstage standing with Ric Flair & Chris Sabin as she asked Flair about his thoughts about his match tonight against Batista, Flair said he didn’t fear Batista because he is a 16 time World Heavyweight champion and Batista only is a 2 time champion, Flair said that Batista only cared about himself and not Evolution and that’s why Evolution is no more and tonight I will beat some sense into Batista and puts him back onto his place, at SummerSlam Sabin will teach him a lesson but tonight I will humiliate him and that he isn’t a worthy superstar without Evolution watching his back, his time is up whoo.

HHH came down to ringside for his match against Shelton Benjamin as HHH first took a mic and said that Shelton could choose the easy way and that simply walk away or he could stay and get a beating of a lifetime and he hoped that Angle watched it because he would feel the same, Shelton decided to stay and tried to attack HHH in the early going but HHH blocked it and kicked Shelton into the midsection and closelined him down big time, HHH picked up Shelton and dropped him head first onto the turnbuckles and than nailed a German Suplex on Shelton and covered but Shelton kicked out, HHH send Shelton into the ropes but Shelton ducked a closeline and than dropkicked HHH down and jumped on top of him and nailed him with lefts and rights, Shelton picked up HHH and send him into the ropes and connected with a back body drop and than closelined HHH over the ropes to the outside as HHH slowly got back up as Shelton dove over the ropes right onto HHH as the fans went nuts, Shelton got back up and rolled HHH back into the ring and than elevated himself over the ropes and nailed a leg drop on HHH and made a cover but HHH kicked out, Shelton slammed HHH into the corner and followed but HHH countered with a elbow and than picked up Shelton and nailed a belly to belly on him, a furious HHH than kicked Shelton several times as he than picked him up and nailed him with a piledriver and covered but Shelton kicked out, HHH than send Shelton into the ropes and caught him with a massive spinebuster as HHH than signalled for the end as he picked up Shelton and nailed him with a Pedigree that shook the ring as HHH wins the match but not with ease, after the match Kurt Angle ran to ringside and attacked HHH from behind and send him into the ropes and connected with the Angle Slam as Angle yelled at HHH that at SummerSlam he would play his game and beat him in it as Angle held his hands high in the air.
Chris Benoit walked up backstage as he walked into RVD & Rhino of the ECW Alliance as RVD said well who do we have here, are you lost Chris, Chris said that he didn’t care about them because his focus was on SummerSlam and becoming the ECW champion, Rhino said he should be concerned right now because he is standing alone against them, Chris said he isn’t because if they decide to attack him he would beat them down as Sabu than attacked Benoit from behind as all 3 members of the Alliance beat the living hell out of Benoit as Rhino smashed Benoit right into a concrete wall as RVD than slammed a chair right into the face of Benoit and slammed him onto a table as Sabu stepped onto the table and nailed a flying leg drop on Benoit right threw the table as all 3 men laughed and walked off as Benoit was bleeding and in serious pain.
It was time for the main event as Batista took on former Evolution member Ric Flair as Chris Sabin was also at ringside, Batista overpowered Flair in the early going and smashed him hard into the corner and followed with a stiff closeline, Batista than picked up Flair and nailed a body press slam on him and covered but Flair kicked out, Batista send Flair into the ropes and caught him with a belly to belly and covered but Flair kicked out once again, Batista slammed Flair head first into the turnbuckles and than kicked him completely to the ground as Sabin jumped on the apron and argued with Batista who wanted to nail Sabin who jumped off the apron and pointed at Batista as Batista turned around as Flair poked him into the eyes and kicked him into the midsection and nailed a double arm DDT onto the animal and covered but Batista kicked out, Flair than put Batista into a bear hug but Batista refused to tap and eventually was able to get back up his feet and nailed Flair with a Fall Away slam as both men were down and the ref started to make the count, Flair got up first and nailed Batista with a uppercut and than grabbed him and nailed a German Suplex on him and covered but Batista kicked out, Flair than threw Batista threw the ropes to the outside and argued with the ref as Sabin saw momentum and attacked Batista on the outside and choked him with some cables and than rolled Batista back into the ring as Flair than dropped a elbow on Batista and covered but Batista kicked out, Flair than picked up Batista and nailed a backbreaker on him and held him into a submission but Batista still refused to tap out, Flair went to the second rope and awaited Batista to get back up and jumped at him but Batista caught Flair in mid air and nailed him with a body slam and covered but Flair kicked out, Batista than picked up Flair and nailed a Full Nelson slam on him and covered again but Flair again kicked out, Batista than send Flair into the ropes and connected with a back body drop as Batista went to the top as the ref checked on Flair as Sabin took advantage of it and pushed the legs underneath Batista who fell onto the turnbuckles and was in huge pain as Flair got up and nailed Batista with some hard right hands and went to the top and grabbed Batista and delivered a Superplex on Batista as the fans loved it as Flair rolled over and made the cover but Batista kicked out just in time, Flair couldn’t believe it and argued with the ref, Flair picked up Batista and slammed him into the corner and than worked on the midsection of the animal, Flair than send Batista into the ropes but Batista reversed it and caught Flair with a Side walk slam and covered but Flair kicked out, Batista than picked up Flair and send him into the ropes and nailed a vicious Spinebuster on the nature boy as Batista signalled for the end and looked for the Batista Bomb as Sabin jumped back on the apron as the ref stopped Sabin for entering the ring as Flair dropped to a knee and nailed a low blow on Batista and than rolled him up as the ref saw it and made the count but Batista kicked out, Flair got back up and grabbed the legs of Batista and put him into the Figure Four as Batista was in pain and tried to reach the ropes but Flair had him in the centre of the ring as Batista crawled slowly to the ropes to break it as he almost reached the ropes Sabin pulled the rope away from Batista as the ref argued with Sabin for doing that as Batista finally got to the ropes as Flair released the hold and argued with the ref again as Sabin slapped Batista hard into the face as Batista became furious and got back up and shoved Flair right into the ref who bumped into the corner as Sabin entered the ring and tried to attack Batista but Batista saw it coming and kicked Sabin into the midsection and than grabbed him and nailed him with a Batista Bomb as the fans were on there feet as Flair again nailed a low blow to Batista and rolled to the outside and grabbed a chair and entered as he awaited Batista to get back up as Batista turned around Flair swung the chair to Batista but Batista caught the chair and pulled it out of the hands of Flair who tried to reason with Batista as Sabin slowly got back up as Batista turned around and clocked the chair right into the face of Sabin who knocked out of the ring as Flair tried to attack Batista from behind it was Batista clocking Flair with the chair as well as he threw the chair out of the ring as the ref slowly got back up as Batista signalled for it again and there it comes Batista Bomb that shook the ring and Batista covered and the ref slowly counted to 3 as Batista beat Flair in a exciting main event, Batista celebrated his victory and looked at Sabin who laid on the outside as the show went off the air.
