ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA HAS BEGUN!!!!
Inside a sold out Fed-Ex Forum in Memphis in became clear that the Road to WrestleMania has begun, last week the Undertaker won back his Championship that he lost 5 days earlier at the Royal Rumble but at the end of last weeks show he was stared down by ECW Heavyweight champion Abyss, this brought out Lollipop leading the way for the ECW champion Abyss as she took a mic and she said that last week the Undertaker won back the title and that was just what Abyss wanted, Abyss had the Undertaker his number at the Rumble by eliminating him and Abyss told me that he wants to have a match with Undertaker at Mania because he will end the streak of the deadman and win both Championship belts, this brought out Paul Bearer leading the way for the Dark lord the Undertaker as Taker turned on the lights with a massive explosion as he than came face to face with Abyss as Paul took a mic and he told Lollipop & Abyss that the Undertaker has never backed down for a challenge and he has already beaten everybody and that also includes you Abyss as Paul showed footage of there last encounter, Paul said that the dark days continued and he said that Undertaker would accept Abyss his challenge, Paul said that Abyss wants his title but Taker will only agree when you put your Championship on the line as well and than we will see who is the real Heavyweight champion of the world, Lollipop said that Abyss have battled in so many extreme matches that he could handle Taker and she said that she accepts his challenge making it a title v title match at Mania as the fans went nuts but this brought out Chris Sabin with Ric Flair, Sabin said that he deserves a re-match because he lost his title last week and why would Abyss have a match instead of him, he said that he worked hard winning the Rumble and winning the Championship but couldn’t enjoy the run that long, he said that Flair made a mistake but he forgave his mentor for it but he wouldn’t accept it that he isn’t the 1# contender, Stephanie McMahon appeared on the ramp and she said that seeing 3 superstars in the ring that wants to battle for the biggest price on Nitro, she said that Sabin was right and he should receive a title shot but Abyss has his point as well, he has a successful run as ECW champion and have had so many battles for it so what she will do is booking a main event for tonight, she said that tonight it would be Abyss v Chris Sabin in a 1# contenders match with the winner going to WrestleMania facing the Undertaker.
MNM defeated Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas after they nailed the Snap shot on Haas, after the match Nitro said that they wanted a re-match against Honour Society and called them out but it were AMW instead coming out as both teams brawled with each other with the champions laughing on the stage.
Shawn Michaels defeated Chris Masters by DQ after Chris Jericho attacked Michaels and nailed him with a Lionsault and put him into a Walls of Jericho and refused to let go as Jericho yelled to HBK that he has to accept a match for Mania otherwise he wouldn’t release the hold as HBK refused to accept as several officials broke the hold as Jericho said that he will get his answer soon because this was just the beginning.
HHH made a in ring interview as he said that Mania was coming and he wanted a answer of Stephanie McMahon if she will accept his challenge for Mania, Stephanie came out and she said that she will agree to do a match against HHH but it will be a Handicap Match featuring HHH v Stephanie and a superstar to be named and that means it could be anybody, she said that this superstar has had his number on HHH on several occasions and that she is confident that he would do the job beating HHH and ending there feud at Mania, HHH got into the face of Stephanie and he said that he hoped she was right otherwise she would feel the Pedigree once again.
Bryan Danielson, Paul London & Rey Mysterio defeated Kevin Nash, Scott Hall & Batista in a 6 man Tag Team match as Danielson scored a surprising pin over Hall with the Dagger Bomb as Nash & Batista couldn’t believe it as the N.W.O were dominating the complete match.
Rob van Dam defeated Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit in a Triple Treat Match after he pinned Angle with a 5 Star Frog Splash to receive a ECW World Title shot next week on Nitro, after the match he was attacked by Benoit who nailed 3 german suplexes on RVD and than put him into the Crossface.
In the main event it was ECW champion Abyss defeating Chris Sabin by pinfall after he nailed him with a devastating Black Hole Slam to become the 1# contender for a World Heavyweight Championship Match at Mania against the Undertaker, after the match the Undertaker appeared on the titantron looking to Abyss as a stare down ended the show.
