ABYSS DOMINATES NITRO!!!!
Inside a sold out Bud Walton Arena in Layetteville it was General manager Stephanie McMahon kicking off the show, she said that on April 28 history will be made when she will pin HHH at the event and humiliate him on the biggest stage of them all but before Mania she still has a couple of weeks left making HHH his life a living hell, 2 weeks ago he had to fight Taker & Kane in a Handicap Match and I enjoyed that every much that he will made them tonight once again in a Handicap Match, she said that Kane showed what he can to destroy HHH and make her match with HHH easy, she said that HHH will not be a 100% walking into Mania, she said that if HHH would break something she wouldn’t mind that because injured or not he must fight the match otherwise he would be fired for not doing his job, she said that HHH had his fun for one night but she had fun for over 4 months now but she said that it will all end at Mania, this will be the highlight of her punishment and what better place than WrestleMania where millions around the world are going to witness it.
In the first match of the evening we saw Paul London & Bryan Danielson teaming up against Gregory Helms & Austin Aries, Aries & London started the match as London controlled the early going of the match and scoring some near falls and showed chemistry with Danielson, Danielson nailed a spring board on Aries but Helms broke it up and kicked Danielson into the face as Aries nailed a DDT on Danielson and tagged in Helms, Helms worked onto the legs of Danielson and putting him in some submission holds but Danielson refused to tap and eventually was able to get out and dropkicked Helms down and made the hot tag to London who closelined Helms down several times as Aries entered the ring but London kicked him into the face and nailed a piledriver on him and went to the top and delivered a Shooting Star Press on Aries but the ref told him that Helms was the legal man as Helms rolled London up but kicked out, London & Danielson than double teamed Helms with a double back body drop as Danielson went to the top and delivered a diving head butt as London than nailed the Shooting Star Press on Helms as well and covered but Aries broke the count just in time, Danielson picked up Aries and brought him up to the top and delivered a massive superplex of the top as the fans loved it, London send Helms into the corner and followed but Helms nailed him with a elbow and picked him up and dropped him head first onto the turnbuckles and rolled him up but Danielson broke the count, Danielson send Helms into the ropes and missed a closeline as Helms nailed him with a dropkick, Aries got up and closelined London over the ropes to the outside and than elevated himself over the ropes right onto London as Helms grabbed Danielson and nailed the Shining Wizard on Danielson to win the match as he and Aries are two up on Danielson & London.
The Big Show made his way to ringside, he said that at Mania he would take care of Bill Goldberg but for tonight he had other things on his mind, he said that last week he took a beating of ECW champion Abyss, he said that Abyss had broken his ankle several months ago and he still has to repay him for that and beat that idiot down, he said that tonight was the night to do that and he called out Abyss and bring his ass to ringside and face him right in his face, this brought out ECW champion Abyss as he got into the face of Show as Show laughed and said that Abyss just made his biggest mistake that he ever made and attacked him but Abyss fought back but Show nailed him with a head butt as Abyss fell to the mat, Show jumped on top of him and nailed him with some massive right hands, he picked up Abyss and slammed him hard into the corner and followed with a huge closeline, Show picks up Abyss and nailed a Full Nelson slam on him as Show looked at Abyss who got back up his feet as Show nailed him with a big boot knocking him down again but Abyss got up again as Show grabbed him by the throat and nailed a big Chokeslam on Abyss as Show looked on with a smile but Abyss slowly moved as Show couldn’t believe it and went to the outside and grabbed a chair and went back in and clocked Abyss with the chair several times but Abyss seemed to laugh a bit with every shot of the chair as Show was confused as Abyss slowly got back up and told Show to give him another one, as Show wanted to nail him again but Abyss grabbed the chair and pulled him out of the hands of Show who looked at him as Abyss dropped the chair and told Show to bring it as Show attacked Abyss but Abyss had the better of Show and send him in the ropes and grabbed him by the throat and Chokeslammed Show down himself as Abyss than picked up Show and looked at the chair and than nailed a huge Black Hole Slam onto the chair as Abyss than rolled out of the ring and grabbed a bag full of tumbtacks and dumped it into the ring, Abyss picked up Show and nailed another Black Hole Slam only this time right into the tumbtacks.
Shawn Michaels got a change to take some revenge on Chris Jericho as they met each other in the next match, HBK started aggressive on Jericho for all the things he had done to him the last couple of weeks, Shawn gave Jericho a beating but Jericho didn’t stay down as HBK nailed a backbreaker and held Jericho in a submission but refused to give up, HBK slammed Jericho into the corner and followed but Jericho kicked him into the face and closelined him down and jumped on top of him and nailed him with lefts and rights, Jericho send HBK into the ropes and connected with a back body drop and than dropped a elbow on HBK and covered but HBK kicked out, Jericho nailed a powerslam and went to the top and nailed a flying elbow and covered again but HBK kicked out, the action went to the outside as Jericho slammed HBK hard into the steel steps and broke the count of the ref and went back and again slammed HBK into the steel steps and rolled him back into the ring as Jericho jumped on the apron and elevated him over the ropes and nailed a leg drop on HBK and covered but HBK somehow kicked out, Jericho awaited HBK to get back up and nailed him with a bulldog and than he hit the Lionsault on HBK and covered but again HBK kicked out as Jericho tuned up the band as HBK slowly got back up and turned around as Jericho nailed HBK with some Sweet Chin Music of his own and covered and scored the win with it, after the match Jericho laughed and took a mic and said that he can beat HBK any day of the week but he said he wanted him at Mania so he again asked Shawn if he would accept his challenge, Jericho said that Shawn could say what kind of stipulation the match would take place, he held the mic for Shawn and asked him again, do you accept my challenge for a match at Mania as Shawn said he would as Jericho smiled and said finally and than he grabbed HBK and put him into the Walls of Jericho as officials tried to break it as Jericho released it and walked up the ramp smiling.
Bobby Roode took on Mike Awesome in the next match as Awesome showed his powers in the early going but Roode who was pissed off after what happened last week fought back with a double arm DDT, he than had full control in the match and beat Awesome down as Jerry Lynn ran down to ringside to distract Roode who argued with Lynn as Awesome attacked Roode from behind and send him in the ropes and caught him with a spinebuster, this brought out Team Canada as Devine & Young beat Lynn down as Awesome wanted to get out of the ring but the ref stopped him as the ref told Devine & Young to leave ringside as Roode than rolled Awesome up but he kicked out just in time, Roode had control after Awesome missed a closeline and nailed a suplex on Awesome as Roode than picked up Awesome and nailed the Northern Lariat on him for the win, after the match Lynn was up and had a chair and clocked it right onto the back of Roode as Devine & Young made there way out again and attacked Lynn beating him up as Paul Heyman than came onto the ramp with Rob van Dam, Sabu & Raven and he told Team Canada that if they want to mess with the Alliance they could get it as the 3 men ran to ringside but Team Canada exited the ring and left threw the fans as the Alliance looked on to them.
Backstage we see Kurt Angle walking onto Chris Benoit and he said that Benoit had a great idea for Mania but Kurt would steal the show instead, he said that he would receive the title shot whenever he wanted it and that nobody could do something about it, the crippler said that Angle always had a big mouth but since joining Nitro he hasn’t done that many great things only losing the than RAW World Championship, he said that he planned this match and that he also was going to win the match, he will have a shot at the biggest price in the industry because he deserves it more than any other superstar on the roster, this brought RVD into the picture and he said that he deserved it more because he wasn’t granted a re-match to win back his ECW Championship, Stephanie McMahon came into the picture and she said that since all three men wants the same, she had a idea, she said that next they would face each other in a triple threat match and the winner will receive a title shot against the ECW champion Abyss next week on Nitro as all 3 men agreed with it.

Next was the triple treat match to see who would challenge ECW champion Abyss next week on Nitro as RVD battled it out with Chris Benoit & Kurt Angle, Angle & RVD teamed up to take care off Benoit and they slammed him into the corner and beat the living hell out of him, RVD nailed a uppercut as Angle than grabbed Benoit and nailed a belly to belly out of the corner as they both kicked Benoit, they send him into the ropes and nailed a double closeline on Benoit, RVD than took advantage of Angle and grabbed him and nailed a German suplex on Angle, RVD than nailed a Rolling Thunder on Angle and covered but Angle kicked out, RVD than picked up Benoit and nailed a neckbreaker on him and went to the top but Angle was back up and ran to RVD and grabbed him on the top and delivered a underhook suplex of the top on RVD as the fans went nuts as Angle covered but Benoit broke the count, Benoit than nailed Angle with 3 suplexes in a row and went to the top and delivered the diving head butt on Angle, Benoit than put Angle in the Crossface but RVD was back up and kicked Benoit right into the face, he picked up Benoit and slammed him hard into the corner and than kicked him several times into the midsection as Benoit was down to the ground, RVD went to the opposite corner and ran to Benoit but Angle came from another corner and speared RVD down as the fans went nuts as Angle was on top of RVD and beat him with lefts and rights, Angle picked up RVD and nailed a Atomic drop on him and followed that with a Russian leg sweep and covered but RVD kicked out, Angle nailed a powerslam on RVD and went to the top and connected with a Moonsault and covered but Benoit broke up the count and kicked Angle in the midsection and nailed a piledriver on him, Benoit than grabbed RVD and tossed him over the ropes to the outside and than grabbed Angle and nailed a side walk slam on him as Benoit again went to the top but this time he missed a diving head butt as Angle slowly got back up and grabbed Benoit and nailed the Angle Slam on him as Angle than grabbed Benoit and put him into the Ankle Lock as Benoit tried to reach the ropes but he couldn’t but RVD entered the ring and nailed Angle with a heel kick to release the hold and than he threw Angle to the outside but he turned around as Benoit saw momentum and grabbed RVD and put him into the Crossface but somehow RVD was able to counter it into a roll up and put his feet onto the ropes to score the pin as RVD rolled out of the ring as he has been awarded with a shot at the ECW Championship next week as Benoit couldn’t believe it what just happened.
Chris Sabin was next as he came down to ringside and he said that at Mania he would beat down a legend and his former manager Ric Flair, he said that Flair may have won so many great things but it will all come to an end on April 28, he said that he had learned so many things in the last years that he is able to be the man, he said that he came from the smaller leagues, he remembered everybody about his battles with London in the past over the than Light Weight Championship, he was the first man winning a Elimination Chamber for Light Weights main event the Great American Bash with it, he has won the United States Championship and also the Television Championship and 2 months ago he shocked the world by winning the Royal Rumble and the World Heavyweight Championship so has achieved so many great things, he said that Flair was just the beginning of his new path to the top of the mountain, he has been there before and he will come back again, he said that he knows that he can become the best Heavyweight champion in history, Flair came out and stood on the ramp and he said that Sabin named all the great things he achieved and yes he has been impressive, Flair said he knew Sabin for over 3 years now, he guided him in Evolution and after that split up he still taught him everything but at Mania he will give his last lesson, he said that Sabin had been greedy and egoistic and blaming everybody else besides himself, Flair said that Sabin lost the Heavyweight Title in 5 days time because he met the Undertaker for it, he won the title on the wrong moment but he didn’t see that but Flair would remember him that at Mania when he will kick his ass and than Sabin will know what happened to him and that he has to start all over again.
It was time for the main event as HHH again had to face the Brothers from Hell Kane & Undertaker in a Handicap Match as Stephanie McMahon was sitting at ringside as Kane & Taker dominated HHH in the early going beating the living hell out of him, Kane took the action to the outside and dropped HHH head first onto the ring barrier and closelined him down, he than rolled HHH back in the ring where Taker was waiting for him, Taker send HHH into the ropes and connected with a big boot and dropped a big leg drop on him and covered but HHH kicked out, Kane entered the ring as they send him into the ropes and connected with a double back body drop, Kane than made it a singles match as Taker awaited everything as Kane slammed HHH into the corner and followed but HHH countered with a elbow and beat Kane into the corner, he send Kane into the ropes but Kane reversed it as Kane ducked but HHH grabbed him and nailed him with a knee to the face as Taker entered the ring but HHH saw him coming and nailed him into the midsection and followed it with a DDT, HHH than picked up Kane and nailed a body press slam on him and covered but Kane kicked out, HHH grabbed Kane and nailed a Pedigree on him but Taker broke the count with a huge uppercut, Taker picked up HHH and dropped him head first onto the turnbuckles and than nailed sneak eyes on HHH, Taker than delivered some old school walking the ropes and closelined HHH down, Taker than held HHH into a submission as Kane sat back up and kicked HHH into the midsection but somehow HHH refused to give up, Taker got back up and nailed a side walk slam on HHH as Kane went to the top as HHH slowly was back up as Kane connected with a flying closeline on HHH, Kane send HHH into the ropes as Taker connected with a big boot as they than signalled for the end as they both grabbed HHH by the throat and nailed a double Chokeslam to Hell as Kane covered for the win, after the match Stephanie took a mic and she said that the punishment needs to continue as she brought in a chair and told Kane to Tombstone him on it as Kane picked up HHH and Tombstoned him right onto the chair, Stephanie said that Taker should do one as well as Taker picked up HHH but it was than ECW champion Abyss coming down to ringside as Taker dropped HHH and awaited him as Abyss entered the ring as both champions battled it out but Kane became a difference maker attacking Abyss as well as they beat Abyss down in the corner, HHH slowly got back up his feet and grabbed the chair as Kane turned around HHH clocked the chair right into the face of Kane knocking him out cold as Taker turned around HHH nailed him as well with the chair but Taker was still standing as Abyss came back up and grabbed Taker and nailed him with a Black Hole Slam as HHH dumped the chair onto the mat and grabbed Kane and nailed a Pedigree right onto the chair as HHH than looked at Stephanie who ran up the ramp as Abyss & HHH stood before the fallen brothers of Hell as the show went off the air.
