The night starts off with Paul Heyman and Rob Van Dam in the ring with the rest of the Alliance standing guard outside the ring. Heyman has a mic and says that Van Dam has finally regained what is rightfully his. He said that last week he came out to talk and Stephanie had to be a bitch and interrupt him, so it won’t be the same tonight. HE said that tonight, is Rob Van Dam Apprecia…Stephanie’s music hits and Heyman is pissed. She said that tonight, Heyman will regret calling her a bitch. She said that first off, she runs this damn show, and she’ll do whatever the hell she wants to do. Second of all, she makes the rules AND the matches. So tonight, this is how it’s all gonna be laid down. First, we’re gonna have a fatal fourway to figure out who is gonna face Michael Shane at Halloween Havoc for the Television Title. Then, we’re gonna see who will be facing Honour Society next week for the tag titles. After that, we’re gonna have a battle royale to find out who will face Rob Van Dam at Halloween Havoc for the ECW Title. Then, good ol’ Paul Heyman will have himself an extreme rules match, but no one can interfere. Not one single sole or Heyman is fired. Then, finally, since Taker won’t have a title defense till Havoc, every week Taker will defend his title against a random superstar. So let’s get things started with the fatal fourway!
It consisted of Johnny Nitro, Joey Mercury, Chris Daniels, and John Cena. Nitro, Mercury, and Edge all came out but Cena never did. Stephanie then announced that Cena was found laid out in the back, unconscious, so we will have a replacement for him, a man who has been out with an injury lately and is making his return to Nitro…BOBBY LASHLEY!! The crowd is happy and cheers him heavily! This is a good back and forth match with the ending being when Nitro hit Mercury with a snapshot. Daniels then went for Angel Wings on Nitro but Lashley hit HIM with a spear and then high fived Nitro! They now have an alliance and Lashley picks up Mercury and hits him with an F5! Nitro covers but Daniels breaks it up and Lashley goes for it on Daniels but Daniels reverses with Last Rites and spears Nitro out of the ring. Lashley fell on top of Mercury and got the 1…2…3! Lashley will be facing Shane at Havoc! Michael Shane comes out and shakes Lashley’s hand. He turns to walk away but Lashley pulls him back into an F5!! The crowd boos heavily!
Shawn Michaels was backstage with Ron Head as Ron asked him his thoughts about his match next week on Nitro when he faces Kane in a qualifying match to be part of the Elimination Match, HBK said it was a difficult opponent but he still feel the strength of being in the main spot and at Summerslam he came close in being the Heavyweight champion, he said that when he does qualify he goes in and take the title and show the world he is still the showstopper.
Next up is the Hardy Boyz taking on Mike Awesome & Rhyno. Rhyno & Awesome had most of this match until the end when CM Punk came out. Rhyno went for a GORE on Matt but Punk moved him out of the way, making Rhyno hit Awesome. Rhyno then turned around into a twist of fate from Matt and then a swanton bomb from Jeff who made the cover for the 1..2..3!! Punk holds up their hands as Rhyno tends to Awesome outside.
We see Kurt Angle walking backstage and he didn’t looked that happy since he heard he didn’t got himself a qualifying match for Havoc to main event the show but he ran into Ric Flair, who laughed and said that Angle was on a losing streak lately as Angle got into Flair his face and said he would end his career when the time comes, Flair laughed and said that since Angle wants to meet him so badly, the dirtiest player in the game has just the place for it, Flair said he never backed down from a challenge and he issued Angle to a match at Havoc, Angle said he accept this and he would break Flair, Flair said that was settled but he said that he will also name a special referee for this match and he will do that next week as Angle said he didn’t care who the ref would be because at the end of the night Flair will be retired.
Then we have the battle royale for the ECW Number one contendership. This was a VERY good match which the final four was CM Punk, Sabu, Kane, and Abyss. Punk was on Sabu while Kane had Abyss. All of a sudden, Abyss threw Kane over out of no where! Sabu then started on Punk when Abyss came over and started on Sabu. Punk then started on Sabu too but Abyss tried to throw Punk over. Punk held on and went to the top rope and had Sabu in position for the pepsiplunge but Sabu low blowed Punk and got down. He turned around into a big boot attempt by Abyss but moved and Abyss catapulted Punk through the announce table!! Punk is clutching his right knee and Sabu pushes Abyss over and wins this thing! Sabu celebrates as the rest of the Alliance comes out and puts Sabu on Awesome’s shoulders! They have a huge celebration and go to the back with champagne.
Chris Sabin took on Chris Jericho in a Qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber at Havoc, Jericho tried to score a fast win but Sabin refused to stay down and fought himself back in the match and showed why he could be the future star of the show, he took advantage of a fault of Jericho and nailed Jericho with the Cradle Shock to advance himself into the Elimination Chamber as Jericho again missed out a change of being in this match as he was frustrated and put the ref into the Walls of Jericho as several officials came out to break the hold.
Paul Heyman then comes out in a sweatsuit. He grabs a mic and says that whoever his opponent is, he’ll pay them $1,000,000 dollars to not hurt him. Stephanie the comes out and says that she has decided to change this match. It will now happen in 3 weeks. He sighs with relief and walks to the back as the crowd cheers. Steph then says that even though she cancelled that, she will make tonight’s RSM title match a cage match!! The crowd cheers again as Edge comes out! Taker then comes out !
This match was a very solid and good match. Edge almost escaped through the door many times. Finally, Edge hit Taker with a spear off the top rope. IT looked as if Edge was about to escape when Taker sat up. Edge used all his energy but couldn’t make it to the floor as Taker pulled him back in and hit a chokeslam. The Great Khali then came out and ripped the side off the steel cage! HE walked in and threw Taker into the ropes and double handed chokeslammed him on the cage on the ground! Taker has retained his title but definitely not how he thought he would! The show ends with Khali standing over a broken Undertaker!

Sabu won a Battle Royal to award himself a shot at the ECW Championship at Haloween Havoc.
Chris Sabin defeated Chris Jericho to advance to the Elimination Chamber.
The Undertaker defeated Edge in a Steelcage Match to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
