One of the world’s most recognized boxers and British celebrities, Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton, will take center stage this week when he serves as special guest host of Monday Night Raw in Sheffield, England.
A former world welterweight champion, Hatton is no stranger to being in the spotlight. The pride of Manchester is regarded as one of the more charismatic boxing entertainers of his generation.
The Hitman is an extraordinary 45-2 in his career, with 32 knockout victories to flaunt. Hatton, most recently, was involved in one of 2009’s most highly-anticipated fights when he took on Manny Pacquiao in May.
One of Hatton’s past opponents, Floyd Mayweather Jr., is the only other boxer to ever host Raw.
The British assassin, nevertheless, is known for his out-of-ring contributions. He is an avid supporter of ‘The Village News,” which is a local newspaper in England that was created by children to raise money for various charities.
