NFL Player Open To Joining WWE If The Lockout Continues

St. Louis Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis indicated to TheLantern.com that he would consider joining WWE if the ongoing NFL lockout continues, which has lasted more than a month.

“I should take up pro wrestling,” Laurinaitis said. “It’d be a natural transition. I might have to try to get in the ring a little bit, take on John Cena or Randy Orton.”

“I’d consider it,” Laurinaitis added. “You don’t want to mess around and get hurt. But if it’s just a few run-downs here and there or something, I’d maybe at least get some of the training done.”

Laurinaitis is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Road Warrior Animal and nephew of WWE executive John Laurinaitis.
