Noble Competes At WWE House Show, Upcoming Show Canceled

– WWE has canceled a Smackdown live event scheduled for Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Reed Arena in College Station, Texas. It was originally scheduled as the only Smackdown house show on next weekend’s tour, joining two “World Tour” events and a Raw house show on Jan. 22. WWE’s listing for the canceled event currently reads, “Access denied – You are not authorized to access this page.”

— WWE Hall of Famer “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan turns 58 years old Saturday.

— Jamie Noble, who now works in a backstage capacity for WWE, faced World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan at Friday’s Raw live event in Yakima, Washington. Noble has not competed before a WWE crowd since November 2009.

The two combatants have past history as Noble lost the ROH World Heavyweight Championship to Bryan in September 2005.
