Original Plans For Rey Mysterio At SummerSlam & His Health
On last week’s RAW, it was announced that San Diego native Rey Mysterio would receive a WWE title shot against whoever the champion was after SummerSlam, which is Alberto Del Rio.
As for Rey Mysterio’s knee injury, f4wonline.com is reporting that Rey was scheduled to face The Miz at SummerSlam up until this weekend.
The decision was made at the last minute to make it a 6-man match with Alberto Del Rio, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston and John Morrison as a way to get Rey on the card without him having to work a singles match and risk potentially worsening his knee.
