Smiths Falls saw witnessed the very first Hannibal Pro Wrestling (HPW) show. HPW of course was founded by Randy Savage’s brother “The Genius” Lanny Poffo and Devon Hannibal Nicholson. Lanny wrestles for the company but Hannibal is retired. The show went well with good turnout. Poffo has lot nearly 50lbs and was in great shape. He received a huge standing ovation for his moonsault which he still performs at the age of 57.

Scott Steiner battled for the Canadian Heavyweight Championship against Jeremy Prophet but came up short of the victory. Nonetheless Steiner fought for almost 20 minutes and was in great shape.

Devon came out to introduce Lanny during which time he mentioned the infamous “Kurt Angle Olympic Challenge” where he challenged Angle to an amateur wrestling match after Angle dropped out of the Olympic Trials. The crowd was very hot and erupted in anti-Angle chants. Check out the video for the very heated crowd chanting anti Angle remarks.
