Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s PWI 500 Top Ten For 2013

Pro Wrestling Illustrated has released their annual PWI 500 special issue. As previously reported, John Cena takes the top spot, making him the first person to be ranked #1 in three different years (2006 & 2007). Bret Hart (1993 & 1994), Steve Austin (1998 & 1999) and Triple H (2000 & 2009) have all topped the list twice.

This year’s top ten is as follows:

1. John Cena
2. CM Punk
3. Hiroshi Tanahashi
4. Bully Ray
5. Kazuchika Okada
6. Sheamus
7. Jeff Hardy
8. Alberto Del Rio
9. Dolph Ziggler
10. Kevin Steen

Criteria for the list features a mix of win/loss record, championships won, quality of competition, major feuds, prominence within their individual promotion(s), and overall wrestling ability. The voting period is from June 1st, 2012 to May 31st, 2013.
