Report: TNA Sale Negotiations On Hold While Dixie Carter Vacations In Africa

Despite previous reports that TNA’s sale was imminent, it doesn’t sound like we should expect an announcement too soon. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Dixie Carter is currently on a two-week vacation in Africa, and since she’s the key person in the negotiations, they are likely on-hold for now.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newseltter reports that TNA still needs to make a deal soon in order to stay afloat. The company was reportedly only able to film TV last month due to last-minute money put in by Billy Corgan.

The biggest issue that has reportedly prevented TNA from being sold is that Dixie Carter wants to remain on board after the sale. At one point, country singer Toby Keith was ready to sign the papers to buy the company, but Dixie Carter’s father Bob insisted that she stay on TV playing the President of the company. Keith had wanted to bring back Jarrett to run the company.

According to reports, TNA is still behind on paying some of their staff.
