Ring of Honor Report – December 8, 2013

Welcome back to the Ring of Honor report on PWMania! This week, we have a Four-Corner Survival Match for our main event, so don’t go anywhere.

The American Wolves vs. Outlaw Inc.

We continued the final run of Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards in ROH with this great tag team bout that featured Eddie Kingston and ROH legend Homicide. A very well-balanced bout helped start this card of right, which is a trait that ROH has always had to its advantage.

Winner: Outlaw Inc. – Pin-fall

We had lots of good promos from the likes of Michael Bennett, Kevin Steen, Matt Taven and Adam Cole on their respective feuds for Final Battle. They went a bit too long in some cases, but they were well done, nonetheless.

Main Event: Roderick Strong vs. Jay Lethal vs. Matt Taven vs. Michael Elgin – Four-Corner Survival Match with

This was a wild fracas that showcased everyone’s strengths thoroughly and featured a great deal more psychology than most of these matches typically allow. Elgin won in a logical attempt to build him up for his ROH World Title bout at Final Battle.

Winner: Michael Elgin – Pin-fall

Our final segment featured a Steve Corino interview with Jay Briscoe, in anticipation of his ROH World Title bout with Michael Elgin and Adam Cole. After a few minutes of strong work here by both men, Silas Young, Michael Elgin, (possibly) Mark Briscoe and Adam Cole all started a brawl, with Jay involved, to end the evening.

This was a great edition of ROH, with a solid focus on the larger picture, for Final Battle.

Thanks for reading and I’ll see you next time.
