ROH Signs Former NFL Player, ROH’s Return To West Virginia, Photos From Best In The World

– At Best in the World, ROH unveiled its newest signing former NFL offensive lineman Quinn “Moose” Ojinnaka. Moose, who has gained praise from the likes of AJ Styles, Jay Lethal and featured in Jeff Jarrett’s Journey series played over 100 games in the NFL for teams such as the Atlanta Falcons and St. Louis Rams. Ojinnaka appeared at ROH’s first Future of Honor show and has been making independent appearances for the likes of Dragon Gate USA. – Ring of Honor today announced that on September 27th they will return to West Virginia, making their debut in Wheeling, WV’s WesBanco Arena. Tickets are on-sale tomorrow to ringside members and on Friday to the general public. The WesBanco Arena is a large arena so it will be interesting to see how ROH do. Jim Cornette has said that during his time in ROH the Sinclair Broadcasting affiliates in West Virginia’s most popular weekend show was Ring of Honor Wrestling and was generally drawing over 100,000 viewers a weekend.

    So excited to hear ROH is coming to Wheeling in September.

    Wrestling at Wesbanco Arena goes back for decades. In the territory days, Wheeling was an area that kind of sat on the territorial border. So we would get shows from the WWF out of New York, and the NWA from Crockett out of the Carolinas. So for us local fans, wrestling coming back to the Wesbanco Arena is a significant moment.
