ROH State Of The Art Results – February 8, 2014

(1) Jay Briscoe beat ROH World champion Adam Cole to retain Briscoe’s version of the ROH Title. Briscoe won with the Jay Driller.

(2) Caprice Coleman beat the Romantic Touch.

(3) B.J. Whitmer beat Raymond Rowe in a hard-hitting match.

(4) Jimmy Jacobs beat Cedric Alexander with the spear. Roderick Strong said that young guys need to respect the veterans.

(5) Weezy Woo beat Alex Reigns. Afterward, R.D. Evans pinned Reigns, then Weezy for two more victories to add to his resume, continuing “The New Streak”.

(6) R.D. Evans beat Roderick Strong via DQ when Cedric Alexander came out and accidentally hit Evans. Strong then destroyed Cedric afterward.

(7) Mike Bennett (w/Maria Kanellis) beat Mark Briscoe via Anaconda Vice after Maria distracted the ref and Bennett hit Mark with a chair.

Afterward, Bennett called out Jay Briscoe. Jay attacked Bennett until Adam Cole came out for the save. Officials separated the madness and the Briscoes stood tall in ring.

(8) Adrenaline Rush (A.C.H. & Tadarius Thomas) beat ROH World Tag Team Champions ReDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) in a non-title Proving Ground match. A.C.H. hit his cross-over frogsplash on Fish for the win to earn a future Tag Title shot.

(9) Kevin Steen beat ROH TV champion Tommaso Ciampa, Jay Lethal, and Michael Elgin in a four-way #1 contender match. Steen earned a future title shot against ROH champ Adam Cole, who live-tweeted on ROH’s account during the match. Cole’s post-match tweet: “Kevin Steen is your winner. Now has a title shot. Good luck Kev, you’ll need it. I’m out. #StateoftheArt.”
