ROH Supercard Of Honor VIII Results/Spoilers – Briscoe vs. Cole, Steen vs. Elgin

- The following are the results of tonight’s Supercard of Honor VIII show held by Ring of Honor in Westwego, LA, approximately a mile outside New Orleans, at the J. Alario Center.

Approx. Attendance: 2,000+

(1) Roderick Strong def Cedric Alexander with the End of Heartache; said to have been a great opener with Alexander looking very strong.

(2) The Decade (BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs & Adam Page) def Andrew Everett & Adrenaline RUSH (ACH & Tadarius Thomas) with the All Seeing Eye finisher; many Tweeted that it was a great match, one noting it was even better than the opener with ACH standing out the most.

Truth Martini came out and called out Matt Taven. After a promo Truth said Taven never got to the final chapter at which point Martini hit Taven with the Book of Truth and left him in the ring.

(3) RD Evans w/ Veda Scott def “Last Real Man” Silas Young via DQ after Young hit the first ref on accident. A second ref came in and counted a pinfall for Young after a Pee Gee Waja Plunge but the original ref recovered and made the DQ decision. #TheNewStreak continues.

(4) No Disqualification
Michael Bennett w /Maria Kanellis def Mark Briscoe after a concharito and he Anaconda Vice which lead to the ref stopping the match after Mark Briscoe refused to tap out.

Matt Hardy laid out Cheeseburger after intermission. He talked about how well the promotion was doing with Adam Cole as champion. Some say he didn’t garner as much heat as he would normally in ROH.

(5) redDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly) def Hanson and Rowe and Forever Hooligans (Rocky Romero and Alex Koslov) to earn a shot at The Young Bucks at War of the Worlds for the ROH World Tag Team Championships. Said to have been a great match, MOTN at the point in the show. Bobby Fish was said to have been over huge with the crowd.

(6) 2 Out of 3 Falls
Jay Lethal wins the ROH World Television Championship 2 falls to 1 over Tommaso Ciampa. Truth Martini helped Lethal pull out the victory, turning heel in the process as a new House of Truth is formed in Ring of Honor.

(7) Winner faces the IWGP Heavyweight Champion @ War of The Worlds
Michael Elgin def Kevin Steen with a Powerbomb/Package Piledriver to win and earn the right to face Okada at War of the Worlds in NY for the IWGP Heavyweight title. Said to have been MOTN. Steen was over massively with the crowd from the moment he appeared.

(Main Event) Ladder War 5 for the ROH World Championship
Adam Cole def Jay Brisoce to retain and become the Undisputed ROH World Champion after Mike Bennett & Matt Hardy interfered.
