Shawn Michaels Removed From SummerSlam, Kurt Angle Apologizes For CM Punk Comments

– WWE.com just posted the following update on Shawn Michaels and SummerSlam:

“WWE.com has confirmed that Shawn Michaels suffered a broken following Brock Lesnar’s brutal assault on Raw and will not be at this Sunday’s SummerSlam. Watch the exclusive post-Raw footage capturing the WWE Hall of Famer’s departure from Dallas’ American Airlines Center on Monday night, as well as Triple H’s reaction.”

This is a storyline angle but remains to be seen if Shawn Michaels will actually appear at the pay-per-view event on Sunday.

– Kurt Angle has apologized for threatening CM Punk after the WWE Champion labeled TNA an “indy” promotion during a appearance at Chicago’s Comic Con on Saturday. Angle made it clear he is not apologizing to Punk.

“I apologize to TNA and WWE fans for my comment,” Angle wrote. “I don’t expect Punk to apologize to TNA, but I’m sorry. Respect 4 The Biz.”

“I didn’t apologize to Punk. Only the WWE (and) TNA fans. Punk disrespected TNA. He Has a lot to learn about fame and responsibility.”
