Spoilers: ROH Road To Best In The World Night 2 Results – June 7, 2014

– Ring of Honor held their second of two live events which were taped for TV in Chicago tonight, this time in Collinsville. The following will appear on upcoming episodes of Ring of Honor Wrestling leading into their first PPV, Best In The World on June 22.

1) Ethan Gabriel Owens (EGO; known as Ethan Page on the independent circuit) def. Zizou Middox (the younger brother of WWE Superstar, Justin Gabriel) with a move described as a modified Rock Bottom.

2) Cedric Alexander def. TaDarius Thomas w/ The DECADE’s Jimmy Jacobs via Lumbar Check. BJ Whitmer attempted to attack Alexander post-match but Cedric was able to avoid him.

3) Caprice Coleman def. BJ Whitmer w/ The DECADE’s Jimmy Jacobs & TaDarius Thomas with a Victory Roll. Post-match The DECADE tried to attack Caprice but Cedric rushed the ring and cleared The DECADE. A small C&C Wrestle Factory reunion.

4) The Romantic Touch def. ROH World TV Champion Jay Lethal w/ Truth Martini in a Proving Ground match after Lethal unmasked The Romantic Touch to reveal Matt Taven. Taven quickly hit his finisher the Climax and picked up the win. Lethal and Truth threw a tantrum after the match.

5) “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin vs. Michael Bennett w/ Maria Kanellis ends in a no-contest after Michael Bennett tries to use a chair in their match. Michael Elgin asks for the match to be restarted as a no DQ and the match is made. They again go to a no contest after Adam Cole attacks Elgin, tying him to the ropes and cutting off his signature mullet. Cole, Bennett and Maria antagonize Elgin until his wife MsChif comes down to the ring and tries to save him, but instead Cole locks her in the Figure-Four-Leglock as Elgin watches from the ropes. Cole, Bennett and Maria leave, Elgin is freed from the ropes and he takes out his frustrations on the security team, beating them down as officials try to attend to MsChif.

6) “The Last Real Man” Silas Young def. ACH with the Stock Lock (a full nelson from the Crippler Crossface position). Young screams into the camera that at Best In The World he’s going to kick Kevin Steen’s ass.

7) Adam Cole def. Tommaso Ciampa to retain the ROH World Championship. Cole defeated Ciampa using a lot of underhanded tactics, finally getting the three with a flash crucifix, the referee not seeing that Ciampa’s feet were in the ropes. Cole escapes ROH World Champion.

8) reDRagon def. The Briscoes to retain the ROH World Tag Team Championships when Kyle O’Reilly pins Mark Briscoe following Chasing the Dragon. Said to have been a very good match and a great main event.
