WWE NXT Redemption Results – May 31, 2011

-It’s elimination time, as we head into the thirteenth week of NXT Redemption! We start with a recap of the feud between Titus O’Neil and Darren Young. The kidnapping of Hornswoggle, the ambush on Titus, the frog splash on Hornswoggle, and highlights from the no-disqualification match are shown. The opening titles roll, and commentator Todd Grisham welcomes us from Des Moines, Iowa.

-The rookies are lined up in the ring. Maryse and Matt Striker welcome us. Maryse then welcomes her friend Michael Cole to the ring. Cole sits at ringside next to Grisham.

-Matt Striker reminds us that the winner of this season of NXT will get a spot on the next season of NXT, and they will get the chance to pick their own pro. We get a recap of the current redemption point standings: O’Neil has 19, Young has 7, Saxton has 4, and the other two rookies have 0. We learn that in the event of a tie between the pro’s poll and the WWE Universe’s poll, the redemption points will act as the tiebreaker.

-The rookies get a chance to win over the crowd one last time.

-Conor O’Brian is first. He says that he is not done sacrificing his body for this business and the WWE Universe. He says that Conor O’Brian is not done.

-Lucky Cannon says that if you’re not a fan of him, you’re deaf, dumb, and blind. He has Adonis DNA, and he’s championship material. He’s not going to beg for votes, because he has Maryse on his side. Maryse doesn’t seem very receptive.

-Darren Young is next. He says that he’s been at the top since the start of NXT Redemption. He then starts yelling and says that he shouldn’t even be here because he’s a WWE Superstar. He says that he was in the main event of Summerslam. He says that he deserves to be facing John Cena.

-Byron Saxton says that he shouldn’t have to explain why the WWE Universe should vote for him. He says that he did the impossible last week in spite of having the most incompetent pro, Yoshi Tatsu. He says the real question for the WWE Universe is why not vote for him?

-Titus O’Neil is next. He’s the only guy to get an initial pop. He says that he’s bigger, badder, and bigger, just like the WWE’s new slogan. He’s had the support of the WWE Universe and the best pro, Hornswoggle, so he says that elimination is not an option. The only option is to make it a win.

-Hornswoggle’s music hits and he comes out to greet Titus. Darren Young stares down Hornswoggle as we go to commercial.
