Stacy Keibler Says She’s Moved On From Wrestling, Has No Plans To Return To WWE

Following a report last week in the National Enquirer (read here) that Stacy Keibler would consider a one night only return to WWE for a hefty payoff, is reporting the claim as false.

According to a source connected to the 33-year-old, while she feels very grateful to WWE for helping her launch her career, she believes that part of her life is over and wants to focus on other things.

The report had claimed that she was was solely interested in returning to WWE for financial reasons because she has refused to scale back on the luxurious lifestyle she became accustomed to while dating Hollywood actor George Clooney.

In 2009, the former Diva had her management team approach WWE about guest hosting an episode of Raw, but never heard anything back. She revealed in an interview with The Baltimore Sun that year, “No one has contacted me. I actually had my management contact them, and nobody ever got back to us [laughs]. So I guess they’re not interested.”

Following this, numerous rumors of Keibler returning to the organization surfaced. More recently, The Sun alleged in July that she was looking to return to the ring. WWE, however, denied the rumor, informing some online wrestling news outlets that organization officials were not speaking to her.

Both her and Torrie Wilson should never have been allowed near the wrestling business because neither of them ever gave a shit about it, they just wanted to use it to propel them in to fame and fortune.

I am no fan of Trish, I think that she is vastly overrated, but I like that she wanted to learn to wrestle [even if she was crappy in the ring], and took the injuries and stuff that went with it. These women [as well as others like them] bring shame to the business.

Dude Trish Stratus was one of the most talented women ever in the ring. She was great. Guys dont want to see nasty looking women like ODB, it is women like her that bring shame to the business.

        Pardon the late reply.

I have to say your view of who is a great female wrestler seems to largely be based on their appearance. What exactly is wrong with ODB? I suppose you don’t like Kharma as well? ODB is not a nasty looking woman. Since when did how you look have anything to do with your in ring ability?

In my view, Molly is a much better in ring wrestler than Trish Stratus, but because she is not a stunner [excuse the pun], the WWE didn’t push her as much, she didn’t win as many titles and fans didn’t think as highly of her [being a heel for a big part of her WWE career didn’t help].

Remember I never said that Trish brought shame to the business, I said that about Torrie and Stacy. Trish should be applauded for actually getting in the ring, week after week, as a competitor in the women’s division, for 5 long years.

That said, her matches were not great, they really weren’t. She improved over the years, yes, and her last match with Lita before she retired as women’s champion was actually pretty good, but looking back over her career, she only looked good because other than a couple of women, she had very little competition.

If she was active now, she would look ever better, as there is literally no competition in women’s wrestling.
